I recently acquired an interesting spange from a member of the 'other website'. I'm familiar with all the medals except one. Unfortunately I can't post photos, but the bar consists of 1914 EK2, Hindenburg Cross with Swords (neatly slotted in to replace previous Honor Legion Medal), Prussian General Honor Decoration, Hohenzollern Silver Merit Medal, the unknown medal which I think is a Mecklenburg Silver Merit Medal (on light blue ribbon), Brunswick Silver Merit Medal, Saxon-Altenburg Silver Merit Medal and Russian Medal for Zeal. So far I haven't been able to find an image of the Mecklenburg medal, only one with bearded portrait, whereas this one is not bearded. Anyway, if some of the advanced Mecklenburg collectors have an idea what this is, that would be great. It is a very small medal with the arms of the principality on the reverse. I suppose a combination of awards like this would indicate some sort of court lackey.
