    1. Dear Andreas, The Yugoslavian Crown Order ribbon is plain blue. I would say this ribbon represents the Romanian Order of the Crown. Kind regards Pierce
    2. Hi Alan, This ribbon is possibly for a post-war Austrian veteran medal. Here are some examples on this one ribbon bar I have. Kind regards Pierce
    3. Gentlemen, I am searching for photos of the following medals and have come up with nothing to date. I am hoping you can help me. -Hohenzollern 1884 Jubilee Medal -Hohenzollern 1901 Jubilee Cross Many thanks for any assistance with this. Kind regards Pierce
    4. A very interesting topic and some wonderful photos of this Order. It got me thinking- does anyone know if the Kaiser was awarded the Order of the Double Dragon? Perhaps Prince Chun brought one when he visited the Kaiser? My thanks Pierce
    5. Many thanks Paul. It is as I thought. Kind regards Pierce
    6. Hi, Is there such a thing as the San Marino Order of Saint Markus? Date wise- the person receiving it would have done so at the end of the 19th Century or at the start of the 20th Century. Or could this be an incorrect reading of the Equestrian Order of Saint Marinus? Many thanks Pierce
    7. Gentlemen, I have the opportunity to purchase a copy of the Rangliste des Deutschen Heeres 1944/45. While searching for a copy I came across one edition published in 1955 and another published in 1987. I am told the 1955 edition is about 100 pages longer. Can someone tell me the difference, if any, in the two publications? With thanks Pierce
    8. Gentlemen, I hope to gain some documental or photographic evidence pertaining to certain awards of Robert Ritter von Greim. I have have been reading about von Greim recently and came across some information online stating that he was awarded the Golden Party Badge on 20 January 1945, and another source stating he received the Eastern Front Medal. Did he in fact receive the Golden Party Badge? Would he have been entitled to/received the Eastern Front Medal? A photo of the GPB may not exist but perhaps a photo showing the Eastern Front ribbon in wear, or something of that nature, might. I've done a number of searches and came up with nothing. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help prove/disprove this. Best regards Pierce
    9. Theodor, Thank you for your reply. von Richthofen was awarded the Knights Cross in May 1940 so this photo was taken after that. Kind regards Pierce
    10. That's a very nice ribbon bar. Here is one from my own collection. Kind regards Pierce
    11. Gentlemen, Are these Bulgarian Officers with Wolfram Freiherr von Richthofen? Many thanks Pierce
    12. I agree. Very nice medal bar. Maybe just put the medal rings under the ribbons. Kind regards Pierce
    13. Alex, This is what I thought but just wasn't 100%. Many thanks for confirming. Best regards Pierce
    14. Gentlemen, What is the difference between these two types of pilot badge? - Kgl. Preuss. Flugzeugführer-Abzeichen - Kgl. Preuss Flieger Erinnerungsabzeichen I think one is a commemorative piece. I would really appreciate photos of the two, that's if they are not one in the same. Many thanks, Pierce
    15. It was the document for the Order of Civil Merit, Grand Officer Class. Kind regards Pierce
    16. Brilliant!! Thanks so much to you both. Yes, auctioned off a few years back I believe. Best Pierce
    17. I have managed to get a good clear copy of the award cert for the Military Merit Order.
    18. I will try and find a copy of Milch's award cert for the Military Order. Would someone here be able to read it and determine which grade he actually received? It is recorded in his Soldbuch as 1. Class but this, in German terms, would mean the Grand Cross. He has also recorded the Civil Merit Order as 2. Class- which is Grand Officer grade, as stated above. This is why I am assuming he received the Grand Cross of the Military Order.
    19. This has been very helpful- thank you so much! Such a great explanation. Kind regards Pierce
    20. Unfortunately I do not have photos of the two documents. What is the difference in First Class and Grand Cross? Is first class the equivalent to Grand Officer grade? My thanks Pierce
    21. He did not have the war decoration, but he did have swords on his Military Merit Order. Is the First Class and Grand Cross the same grade?
