    1. For Schie?platzmeister and Wild Card: Your nice Baden Grand Ducal guy had indeed the Ludwig from Hessen. Olga was still not existing around 1850. I have some more examples of these. Anyone interested? Best regards Daniel
    2. Normally it was ordered, that decorations of enemies states are not longer authorized to wear. That was also the case for all former allies who "turned over". Best regards Daniel
    3. actually he went zD in 1910 from the General staff with additional RAO2aE, KO1, SWA Steel and WK2a He died in 1914. Best regards Daniel
    4. indeed Italian, Grand cross star of the Order of Maurice and Lazaro. I suppose a G?ring pic? Best regards Daniel
    5. actually the Wilhelmskreuz WAS his W?rttemberg wartime reward for WW1 service. Not all WW1 guys received plenty of stuff like the celebrities. Best regards Daniel
    6. Hi Gentlemen, for a planned publication I am looking for good (300 - 600 dpi) scans of some Sanke cards of the following Air Force aces: - Lt Max M?ller - VFw Sebastian Festner - VFw Schleiffer - VFw Edmund Nathanael - VFw Franz Joseph Ophaus Many thanks! Daniel
    7. my one; unfortunately just a 2nd row missing the Crosses of Liberty:
    8. I think te bar is completely legit, just a bit "overprussian" to put the KDM 70 in fromt of a WM3. BUT when somebody worries for the WM3, in this case I?m very sure this old recalled guy replaced his 1870 WM3 (old model with crown on the top and the plain blue ribbon) by a "modern one" in the syle of 1914(18. Best regards Daniel P.S. for Rick, I heard the WM3 Roll which will come out have more than "just" Moser in it.
    9. the making style brought me to think it looks like the nowadays federal red cross long service award. It comes actually just as ribbon bar, here some examples:
    10. nononononononononono! Just around 80 knights with lions awarded and You want to see one? For zinc relations You speak about something rarer than a EK knights cross with oaks and swords!!! Seriously, I have no real one; I know Werner Nickel has a "normal knight" on a Medal bar. I can just show You some of my 5 ribbon bars with this cross. Best regards Daniel
    11. Hi David, Up to I think 1849 the Order was called Civil-Verdienstorden, then it was only Verdienstorden. How is the book organized? Orders by class, then by date, then by alphabetic order of the bearers. Stupid and bored people like me digitalize this and use the simple search function. Best regards Daniel
    12. 18.12.1831 Komtur 2nd class of the Saxon Merit Order Best regards Daniel
    13. that funny ribbon is actually a Red cross long service ribbon for 15 years from the Federal republic of Germany. Stil used today. So I can hardly imagine that it was originally on that ribbon bar. Best regards Daniel
    14. cannt wait to hold my CD in the hands!!!!! these CD are a great source to every serois ID - freak. ... And save the old original books from further use (and destructon). Best regards Daniel
    15. George and Wladimir were always out of the line and not included in the "upgrade system". ranking was: Andrew Newski White Eagle St.Anna Stanislaus Normally a Russian one made all the way through the classes. It came mostly for foreigners; if they got initially for example a Newski they got automatically the White Eagle, St.Anne 1st and Stanislaus 1st. So the Newski was worn on the sash, White Eagle around the neck, St.Anna in the Buttonhole and Stanislaus on the Medal bar. Best regards Daniel
    16. indeed a 1813 / 1815 medal and in front is the 1863 50-years anniversary medal! Hard to find a pic of such an ancient guy!!!! Best regards Daniel
    17. Hi Guys, just to clear out some things: Autengruber IS publishing, but if nobody gives him anything to publish he can hardly do. I can offer to do a W?rttemberg Military Merit Order roll. BUT before I start I need some guys who might want one! Best regards Daniel
    18. now we have seen some boys in RAD, what about a girl??
    19. recently on eBay? Nothing else published in the rolls. Have to check if he is in the OAL 08/09 otherwise... Glenn or Andy might be able to help. Beste Gr??e Daniel
    20. I did not find any source mentioning that it is not possible to get all 3 flower war medals. But it is indeed in the Doehle, that holders of a flower war medal could not get a Schutzwallehrenzeichen. Anyway; I can imagine that just a small bunch of high ranking people could have "won" all 3 of them. Best regards Daniel
    21. Hit! Hit! Hit! Otto von Strahl, born Berlin 24.10.1847, long years Adjutant, Royal Hofmeister, Kammerherr and Hofmarschall of HRH the Landgraf von Hessen und bei Rhein, Major z.D., alive 1908 in Philippsruhe- Kesselstadt in Hessen- Nassau. I checked whole 1880, no other one comes close to him: KO4, EK2, DD3, HP3aX, SLVM, RA3, EH3bX, WF3a, he received the missing AB3a, MK3 and RW4 until 1888 ? so a 100% match to this bar!!! He added later a AB2b, BM2, BZ2a, HP2a, OV2a, RAO3Kr, KO2, Cent, EH2bX, WF2b, DD2a, RSt1 Any questions?!?!? Daniel
    22. I would not say Japan, better fits a Croatian Order of King Zwonimir on peacetime ribbon. Best regards Daniel
