    1. Nice one! Fritz Vieth, born 1880, was with IR 135 in 1914, moved then to IR 459 and retitred as Major. Got the Hohenzollern, EKs, Brunswick 1st and 2nd class with bar and a black wound badge in WW1. In WW2 he could add a War Merit Cross 2nd class with swords Best, Daniel
    2. For sure he had an EK... And the Halbmond ist most likely, but I can still not confirm it. Best, Daniel
    3. Char. GM 20.10.1919 ...and yes for the Kolonialdenkmünze WW1: BMV3XKr and RAO3SXs2 Best, Daniel
    4. There were quite a lot of Lts /1st Lts who got the crown to the 4th class as additional award, despite of their position. Josef Adam Helmut Alberti Franz Albertshauser Karl Ritter von Aldebert Karl Anacker Karl Freiherr Andrian Werburg Viktor Freiherr Andrian Werburg Max Graf Armansperg Georg Ashton Louis Assn Hans Auer Hans Aulmann Walter von Axthelm ...thats just the As ? Best, Daniel
    5. RAO yes. Stern und Schwerter und 3x weiß gestreiftes Band dazu. Leo - ÖL2a means 1st class. Would be better abbreviated as ÖL1b ? Best, Daniel
    6. He did get the adjutants badge in 1902, after leaving that position. It seems to me, for WW1 awards, you do slowly need a couple of award rolls :-) RAO2aEXXRs2, BMV2aX, BremH, LüH, SA1X, SLK, ÖL2aK, ÖEK1K Best, Daniel
    7. Thats highly interesting!!!! years ago I've met his grandson. Old Army LtCol Arnold Teubner survived WW2 and lived at least until the 60ies/70ies. His son Achim joined the Navy and became Commander. KIA in 1945, had a great part in sinking the "HMS Glorious" in WW2. His grandson Joachim joined the German Air Force and became a LtCol too. Retired around 2002. 2nd pic, the nice chap on the left side: https://www.noz.de/lokales/lingen/artikel/1581328/luftwaffenmusikkorps-muenster-in-der-klosterkirche-thuine So 3 Generations, in 3 different branches, all reached the same rank :-) Have to look, if I still have some pics somewhere. Best, Daniel
    8. The ribbon is for the red eagle 4 with swords. Only the ribbons of the EK, another prussian war decoration or the lifesaving medal could be worn on the Überrock. Best, Daniel
    9. Good stuff, als always!!! Thanks a lot! To get through all the stuff from Leutwein will take me some weeks! :-) Best, Daniel
    10. nice! the 1st guy seems to be Georg Hartung from FußAR 7 for the 2nd guy I would bet on Colonel Wilhelm Alberti, ex GR 5, then EIR 29 Best, Daniel
