Ah...then I have to talk to Daniel...Is the list for the cross for heroic deeds already done? I still have the plan to digitalize it (the 1st project with higher priority), although it is going to be tough. I don´t know, if it is really paying to have list of theawards post 1918, because most of the awards (especially the house order) were politically motivated. Best regards Roman

@ Utopis It is a good one without doubts. Schwark shows exactly your type in his book, too and if you search within this topic, you will find an example with chiffre LA backwards. The cross is an older one, made by Carl Büsch, Hannover. The enameled center of the rose is the clear evidence. Is it a golden or silver gilden cross? And do you have a name of the former owner? @redeagleorder For sure the owner must have been a honourable member of a local Detmolder "Kriegerverein" (veteran´s club). Once I will have access to Schwark´s book I can translate the important requirements stated in the statutes, if you wish. Best regards Roman

Danke. Die Kuriosität ist, dass er obwohl er Detmolder Bürger war, zuerst die Schaumburger Auszeichnung bekam....ein politischer Fauxpas! Thank you...really curious is, that he received the Schaumburg award BEFORE the Detmold awards, although he was a Detmold citizen...a political fauxpas :-) Best regards Roman

Hello guys, does anyone have a honour cross of the Leopold-Order Lippe-Detmold in his collection? Actually I have a quite interesting discussion with another collector regarding the production of this order (and the difference of Büsch- and Godet-crosses). In addition it seems, that there are even differences within the early Büsch-crosses, as mine seems to be made of two pieces (cross-body) plus the two seperated centers (soldered afterwards with polished seams), while the other cross consists of a one-piece cross-body with two seperate centers). I attached my four-pieces cross, which I recently could welcome in my collection after a long, long search By the way, both crosses (mine and the other one) are original awarded, without any doubts. Best regards Roman

It´s an older topic, but nevertheless I would like to add my (complete) set of this merit cross for heroic deeds (cased cross with original award document), which I recently got for my collection. The award documents are usually signed by Prince Leopold IV. himself, as the shown one. Best regards Roman

I fully agree to publisg such an issue, as at least for me, this is a question of honour between collectors. It is even more interesting, when I can tell you, that I sold an order to him via Ebay in the meantime, for which I received late, but still in time the payment ( more than 500 EUR...). I was warned, that probably I won't receive any payment, but at the end everything was ok... Best regards Roman
