    1. Hi Rick, but still we are talking about more than 1,000 single pieces of paper...and partly with very ugly handwrittings :-/ First of all, I will try to fix the rolls of the cross for heoric deeds, "only" 740 papers... BR Roman
    2. ...and another picture from my family...drill at the "Marine Landflieger Abteilung". My great grandfather is sitting in the middle of the picture (with the IC-ribbon). BR Roman
    3. Nice topic! Here is a very rare picture of a "Friedrichshafen FF33". This picture was taken on board of the SMS Danzig... Best regards Roman
    4. Interesting combination...I would have expected a Lippe Detmold house order 4th class Div. B instead of Div. A, due to the war merit cross on non combatant ribbon...quite wired. Best regrads Roman
    5. I only have a picture from a brave Lippe-Detmold guy...maybe he was so excited because of his marriage Best regards Roman
    6. ...ready for an unknown rarity? It looks ugly, but it is ultra-rare...war merit cross Lippe-Detmool in zinc (only around 50 crosses out of 21.000 crosses in total were produced in zinc)... Roman
    7. ...and another rarity from Lippe-Detmold with 20 awards Lippe-Detmold Lifesaving medal (here the 1st model) at the correct ribbon Best regards Roman
    8. Correct figures...I can show you even the increase....women style combatant ribbon...around 50 women awarded this decoration, mostly working as nurses in a lazareth.
    9. Danke. Die Kuriosität ist, dass er obwohl er Detmolder Bürger war, zuerst die Schaumburger Auszeichnung bekam....ein politischer Fauxpas! Thank you...really curious is, that he received the Schaumburg award BEFORE the Detmold awards, although he was a Detmold citizen...a political fauxpas :-) Best regards Roman
    10. Here is another medalbar with Hamburg... The bar belongs to Bezirksfeldwebel August Schäfer at the Bezirkskommando in Münster/Westfalen. Unfortunately I have all documents, except the one for the Hanseatic cross... Best regards Roman
    11. Me too...that was the reason, why I couldn´t say no to this mini. Unfortunately I don´t have the former owner´s name... Best regards Roman
    12. And here is something, that would to this nice rare "Offiziersehrenkreuz" with swords... Can you show us the back with the needle, too? Best regards Roman
    13. Hello guys, does anyone have a honour cross of the Leopold-Order Lippe-Detmold in his collection? Actually I have a quite interesting discussion with another collector regarding the production of this order (and the difference of Büsch- and Godet-crosses). In addition it seems, that there are even differences within the early Büsch-crosses, as mine seems to be made of two pieces (cross-body) plus the two seperated centers (soldered afterwards with polished seams), while the other cross consists of a one-piece cross-body with two seperate centers). I attached my four-pieces cross, which I recently could welcome in my collection after a long, long search By the way, both crosses (mine and the other one) are original awarded, without any doubts. Best regards Roman
    14. It´s an older topic, but nevertheless I would like to add my (complete) set of this merit cross for heroic deeds (cased cross with original award document), which I recently got for my collection. The award documents are usually signed by Prince Leopold IV. himself, as the shown one. Best regards Roman
    15. I fully agree to publisg such an issue, as at least for me, this is a question of honour between collectors. It is even more interesting, when I can tell you, that I sold an order to him via Ebay in the meantime, for which I received late, but still in time the payment ( more than 500 EUR...). I was warned, that probably I won't receive any payment, but at the end everything was ok... Best regards Roman
    16. Argh, I missed this auction...Could you inform us about the result? It was a typical silver cross, made by Carl Büsch, Hannover...a earlier one. By the way, my cross (as shown below) has also a weight of 31.1 grams Best regards Roman
    17. Dear Matthew, I have never seen such a medal. All I know are made of real silver. All three known manufacturers (Büsch, Godet and Zimmermann) used silver. Do you have a picture from such a medal? BR Roman
    18. Good luck...Lippe isn´t easy to find...especially the really rare ones, like the Leopoldorden or the upper classes of the house-order. BR Roman
    19. Haha, infected by the Lippe-Detmold fever? The Leopold order merit medals were awarded for both (civil and military merit). For example a have a medalbar of a "Bezirksfeldwebel" with the silver medal and documents for a (civil) "Lakai". But it is more linked to a civil merit and therefore all Leopold-orders of all classes were never awarded with swords. BR Roman
    20. By the way...until today I wasn´t able to ID this bar, although I have the IC2-list and the award-list of the Detmold merit medal... ...too many possible candidates! BR Roman
    21. Please be sure, this medalbar is making me crazy. When it came, there were only the merit medal Lippe-Detmold and the clasps mounted. Now I restored it and added everything, which was missing. But the long service award 1st class old style for 21 years (Prussia) at the end of the bar is making me crazy. Although it isn´t a big investment, I wasn´t able yet to find one suitable... If anyone has two of it.... Best regards Roman
    22. Dear Matthew, I have only one single one. The other one is mounted on a very old medalbar with IC 1870 2nd class with oakleaves :-P BR Roman
