    1. That's a good way to do it Tom. I try to do the same but it sometimes doesn't work out that way. Though I have been fortunate to have made some excellent trades with fellow collectors. Best wishes Matt
    2. Two beauts Tom! You have quite a varied collection...not just medal bars eh! Best wishes Matt
    3. Another stunning group Tom! You have been on a spending spree! Best wishes Matt
    4. :jumping: Now that is a mint set! The detail of the eagle device is fantastic. Best wishes Matt
    5. I think Deumer is my favourite maker of these. Well done Tom! Best wishes Matt
    6. Gentlemen, Here is ribbon bar I bought very recently. Given that the medals on this ribbon bar span from at least 1897-1918 is it safe to assume that the blue ribbon represents the Prussian 25 year service decoration? I may be incorrect in thinking this but without seeing the medal bar how does one tell if the blue ribbon is for 9, 15 or 25 years service? Best wishes Matt
    7. That is a great addition to your collection Tom. I really like this combination of awards. Those non-combatant EK2's do not appear that often on medal bars. Best wishes Matt
    8. I have to agree with Paul. I have never seen the Hohenzollern Order awarded on the Lifesaving ribbon. The other 3 yes, but not the HHO. The "hardware" and ribbons look good. I personally cannot speak for all the devices as these are not my strong point. Best wishes Matt
    9. Yes it does look like the EK2 ribbon underneath. I have never seen two separate style of mounting on the same ribbon bar but it does look original. An interesting piece. Best wishes Matt
    10. Hi Troy, What is the first ribbon? Is it black/blue? What does the back look like? Thanks Matt
    11. You are all very welcome. Some great medal bars to brave men posted above. Best wishes Matt
    12. Hi Troy, Try this link. http://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/related/ribbons/rules_regulations.htm Best wishes Matt
    13. Hi Tom, I would not think so. That would not be very good advertising in my opinion. If a German tailor was going to take the time to make this he would have made it right. I too think it is made form original parts and therefore would say why would the maker tag be an exception. Your medal bar on the other hand looks 100% good to me. Best wishes Matt
    14. That is a great little ribbon bar Martin. Congratulations. Best wishes Matt
    15. I am positive the medals are in the correct order. The regulations were as follows: Iron Cross 1914/1939 War Merit Cross Imperial Bravery Awards etc.. Best wishes Matt
    16. It may be the General Honour Decoration as I see it along with the War Aid Cross and Centenary Medal for sale in a separate listing. Also listed is the Prussian 25 Year Long Service Cross, again in a separate listing. Matt
    17. Hi Jim, I am not a fan of this ribbon bar. Ribbons in totally wrong order, swords on Hansa Cross ribbon...it all just doesn't seem believable to me. Matt
    18. That's a great example Tom. You have been very fortunate at this year's SOS. Best wishes Matt
    19. Very nice find. Have the EK2 and FA2 ribbon rings been replaced at the time of mounting with smaller ones? Probably so the medals would all look succinct on the medal bar. Best wishes Matt
    20. Another great medal bar Tom. It is nice to see the RAD medals mounted. Best wishes Matt
