    1. I suppose with the use of the words "honorable white citizen of the United States of lineal Confederate decent " on the application form, there wouldn't happen to be a version available for any colored persons who fought for the Confederate States. Kevin in Deva.
    2. I believe his burial will be a private ceremony, but there will be a public ceremony to mark the occasion as I spotted this posted on another forum: Kevin in Deva
    3. Hallo Lorenzo, its not Silver, but its heavy it weighs 31.5 gram. Kevin in Deva.
    4. Sometimes unusual material can be found used as backing on the larger medal Bars as well. A veteran who obviously found good use for this strip of medal ribbon, after replacing the Kyfferhauserbund medal with the Hindenberg Hindenburg Cross in 1934. Kevin in Deva P.S. Happy Now
    5. Hallo haynau, I was not criticizing your choice, just trying to understand more with regards this Serbian medal's criteria, and possibility of being awarded to a German / Austrian person. Is there any documented evidence, photographic or written of it being awarded this way? Kevin in Deva.
    6. With regards Serbia, they were on the Allied side in WW1. So would he rate a Serbian award Post WW1? or would he be allowed to retain a Serbian award, earned pre-1914, after 1918 on his medal bar? or were these Serbian awards made in to foreigners in WW2? Kevin in Deva.
    7. Hallo Gents, how about a bronze Tapferkeit medal of Franz-Josef? or a bronze Fortividini medal of Carol ? Or the zink version of the Merit Cross Kevin in Deva
    8. Hallo Wessel Are the the same Chinese publications who use other peoples pictures, with no authorization and acknowledgment to copyright?? Kevin in Deva.
    9. Hallo Gents, I too was watching this one, out of curiosity, and as Stogieman noted, if there are two+ people who desire it bad enough then it will be reflected in a bidding war, after all thats the purpose of an auction Kevin in Deva.
    10. Hallo Stogieman, a fantastic picture, thanks for sharing this gem. Kevin in Deva.
    11. Hallo Gents, it would be nice to see the A.A. Cannon on post 16, jacked up off the tires, as they are going flat and the rubber will eventually split. Kevin in Deva
    12. Hallo Verdun 16, very nice pictures, in photo 1 under the cravat, I believe is a Austrian Order of the Iron Crown. The first Cross is the Austrian Cross of Merit. The second Cross from the end could be a Romanian Order of the Crown, Civil type award. But I think there are some Foreign Awards in there too. Kevin in Deva.
    13. Hallo Gordon, thanks for the information as requested the rear of the pins: Kevin in Deva
    14. Hallo Gordon, nice badges, looking at the first one it puts me in mind of badges one sees connected to walking clubs or Mountain treaking clubs. Possible connection to a Railway mans Leisure Association With regards the winged wheel I add pictures a couple of pins I have here at home. No idea what period they date from. The word on the pin is E L O R E. No maker mark. And the symbol in the center reminds me of a campfire, Again the pin is unmarked. Kevin in Deva.
    15. Can you supply a better close up, of the item itself, because the eye is drawn to the plastic bag in the pictures Kevin in Deva
    16. Hallo Gents, while the last cross in the picture is very similar in looks to the Romanian Order of the Crown, it would have to be the Civil Version without Swords and the ribbon for this was a thick blue center stripe, with two thick white stripes, flanked by two thin blue stripes. It would also have to have been awarded pre-WW1 as Romania was on the Allied side 1916-1919. As far as I know, the only version of this Romanian Order with a Crown above the cross pre WW1 is a Commanders neck award and the only other version with a crown that hangs like a chest decoration is the 1938 version. Kevin in Deva.
    17. Hallo JBFloyd many thanks for the identification, can you say what type of person would have been awarded this type of award? Hi Ed, The plastic box has some slight wear to the motif, on the word "BULGARIA" and apart from that its in pristine condition Kevin in Deva.
    18. Hallo Gents, any info on this boxed piece? Kevin in Deva

I hope you find it interesting, all to often I have tended to focus on the Medals & Militaria, but this gives an insight into how much real "Brass" the soldier was getting for his service. 20. Hallo noor, Nice bars I cant tell what colour the second ribbon is on the first bar, its very dark any chance of a better picture. Number 3: looks like: Bavarian MVK III Class, Prussian Iron Cross II Class, Bavarian Military Service Medal. Number 4: possibly is for a Anhalt-Gesamtstaat Friedrich kreuz 1914-18 an band fur Nichtk?mpfer * Combatant. If Turkish it would be last on the bar as a foreign award. EDIT * for Combatant as stated by pinpon590 read the wrong line in my ribbon book Number 5: carries a Prussian Red Cross ribbon but the swords indicate a combatant, early retirement from the war, who then helped out in the red Cross? Kevin in Deva
    21. Hallo Christer , can you post better pictures (close-up) and a picture of the rear, please?? Kevin in Deva.
