Hauptmann Posted September 23, 2008 Author Posted September 23, 2008 Hi all,Finally had time to do decent scans of the bar after it arrived:Dan
Hauptmann Posted September 23, 2008 Author Posted September 23, 2008 Oops! Nearly forgot the Fire medal I picked up a while back:Dan
Gordon Craig Posted September 23, 2008 Posted September 23, 2008 Well - we have a house (apparently) and will close in early August (supposedly).... but - on this bar - its a military one - nothing to speculate that its Munkasor: 1956 Return of Power, Service Medal, Service to the Fatherland and the Dist Service Medals of 15-20-25 years is a pretty common military bar for a career officer who joined in 1949-1950 era.Gents,I must have a had a reason to say this bar was Munkasor but right now that reason escapes me! Sorry for the incorrect comment. Must have missed this post as it took place while I was on holidays.Regards,Gordon

hunyadi Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 and April 4th -and and ----- very nice collection - can you give a reverse shot of the Order of the Red Star (there are many variants and more information on these is best!) :jumping:
Gordon Craig Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 I second Hunyadi's request. I'd be interested in seeing the reverse of all of the awards posted. Especially the Order of Merit for Socialist Hungary. I have two variations of this order and there might be more!Regards,Gordon
seb16trs Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 red star order, unattributed of course (my belief)

Gordon Craig Posted November 17, 2008 Posted November 17, 2008 (edited) Kevin,T?RZSG?RDA pins were given out by almost every business in Hungary as a "long service" award. There is a thread I did on these pins on the HUPR forum someplace. You will find lots more info there.Regards,GordonKevin,Here is the link to my thread.http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=1592...p;hl=T?RZSG?RDA Edited November 17, 2008 by Gordon Craig

Hauptmann Posted February 10, 2009 Author Posted February 10, 2009 Ah-Ha!! It was you who got #1Congrats. Nice pick up.Many thanks my friend! Been having to keep an eye out for inexpensive deals as that's about all I can do right now. Very happy with both of these. Dan
Hauptmann Posted February 13, 2009 Author Posted February 13, 2009 A few more new additions:Sorry for the poor pic... all I have at the moment. Hope to make scans once they arrive. Dan
Hauptmann Posted October 8, 2009 Author Posted October 8, 2009 Hi all, Well, it's been quite a few months since I've had anything new to add here but just come on this one. Been wanting one for ages and now only need the 1959 to finish the set: I love the design on this one. Dan
hunyadi Posted October 8, 2009 Posted October 8, 2009 Dan - Very nice - you scored a very rare and complete 1969 version. This one is the only one I have seen cased and complete.
