    Here is the question:

I was part of Lenin?s first government. He didn?t hold it against me that I was a Menshevik before I became a Bolshevik in 1914. Later I made a career as a diplomat. I went to Mexico and the Scandinavian countries.

The state awarded me the order of Lenin and Red Banner of labour (twice).

    Who am I?

Not too hard nut to crack I hope...

    /Kim

Christophe I think it could be the Mexican Order of the Aztec Eagle or possibly the Norwegian order of St Olav. I know she had both.

    Order of Victory

    * * * * *

You're kidding, right? Not even a guess so far suggests that we just might need another clue or two.

I thought maybe this is a detail from a Civil War monument. I went to a couple of books that show quite a few monuments but I definitely couldn't find this one.

Where's Ed when you really need him? He probably just visited it.

Actually, I am in New Delhi. Have not spotted it here. :P

Another week and a few days before Moscow and Ulanbaatar.

    Right a clue........

The artist was born in 02/07/1893. In 1908 he went to art school in Odessa and after serving in he war graduated art school in Petrograd in 1925.

Heres a another scan of the momunet, enjoy.

(Iam spoiling you now ;) )

Would it be a monument in the glory of Stalin ?

The manner they are looking at someone, with offerings... :P

And since this monument apparently does not exist anymore; maybe my theory...
