seeheld
Hello Gents, today I want to show you my newest medalbar. Today I'm so happy... After 5 min I foud the name. Feldwebel Heinrich Frahm was a soldier in the Großherzoglich Mecklenburgisches Grenadier-Regiment Nr.89. He was a combatant in 1848 in Denmark and 1849 in Baden. During this 2 campains he got his MVK 1848, but later he lost this decoration during a manoeuvre in 1851. His Commander ordered a new one for him, but the militair departement was sending a MVK 1849. At this time was no other MVK 1848 available. In 1849 he got the baden camapain medal as one of fifty mecklenburgian combatants, which are arwarded with this medal. In 1879 he was arwarded with the mecklenburgian campain medal for the 1848/49 campains. Only a few ex soldiers, which 30 years later are still alive, have been decorated. At this time he quited his duty in the army and was already working for the mecklenburgian gouvernement as Rentereibote. And at last for his retire from the gouvernement he got his highest decoration the silver medal "Für den redlichen Manne und den guten Bürger". For his long time service in the mecklenburgian Army he got the long service cross 2. class for 20 years. regards Seeheld
seeheld
I know the bar is in a very bad condition, but she was a long time in an old cellar. During rebuilding of this old house some workers found the very rare bar in a secret place...

saschaw
Wow. Stunning bar. In 1849 he got the baden camapain medal as one of fifty mecklenburgian combatants, which are arwarded with this medal. And now I know why I have never seen another Mecklenburger with this Baden medal while one sees Prussians somewhat frequently...

Daniel Krause
Guten Abend, Herr Feldwebel! Niiice bar!!Congratulations!
