GreyC Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 (edited) Hi, here one of mine, in a not sooo often combination of Minensucher- and Beobachterabzeichen. The Feldwebel seems to have been a soldier for some time (Dienstauszeichnung) and must have seen some action as he was also awarded the EKI. GreyC Edited August 25, 2017 by GreyC

It would be nice to know his service history. Is that a KvK and Luft 4 Year Service ribbon bar he is wearing. Photo must have been taken late war. I was thinking that the Vizeadmiral in the photo I posted above might be August Thiele. Ribbon bar and medals that can be seen match those awarded to him. Facial features match as well. Cheers, Larry

They flew Ju 52's and were involved in Minesweeping operations. Here's one that I have. What I like about this photo is that you can see that he is wearing a horizontal pin Minesweeper award by Deumer. Cheers,Martin. Edited August 27, 2017 by Martin W

Kriegsmarine Admiral Posted November 12, 2017 Posted November 12, 2017 Is this the Kriegsabzeichen für Hilfskreuzer Vizeadmiral Rieve is wearing?
Martin W Posted November 12, 2017 Author Posted November 12, 2017 Looking at his service record it appears he did not serve on any Hilfskreuzer. Cheers,Martin. http://www.geocities.ws/orion47.geo/WEHRMACHT/KRIEGSMARINE/Vizeadmirals/RIEVE_FRIEDRICH.html
