Stogieman
I invite the members to post up any Orders, decorations, medals, ribbon bars, medal bars or what have you from Waldeck! One of the smaller Duchies that we don't seem to talk about much. Got Waldeck?

Daniel Murphy
I know this will look like crap compared to what Ralph and Andreas just posted, but this is the only thing Waldeck that I have. A heavily worn ribbon bar that was purchased only because of the second ribbon. The backing is blue.Dan Murphy
Stogieman
Hi Daniel. Nothing wrong with that barthat was obviously worn with pride. Finding a Waldeck ribbon on a ribbon bar in any condition is an achievement!
Bob Hunter
I have nada, zip, zilch, nary a one. Any Waldeck example has eluded me so far. Maybe SOS will change that for me. However, I do have a nice book about Waldeck awards.
medalnet
The book is truly a must even for those of us not to interest in Waldeck ?o ne of the best researched topics. The book is basically the reworked issue which was printed as one of the very first monographs on a single topic like this.[attachmentid=24282]

David M
Hi Andreas, what is that beautifulllll medal on the cover of the book, left-under?Thanks,DavidPS one other question on the medalbars you used to own, at the second one, the Waldeck order is on a Reuss ribbon (Gold with black-red-gold) whilst the Reuss Cross is at the Waldeck ribbon, right? medalnet
PS one other question on the medalbars you used to own, at the second one, the Waldeck order is on a Reuss ribbon (Gold with black-red-gold) whilst the Reuss Cross is at the Waldeck ribbon, right?David, no, that would be the Waldeck "Long Service Cross", which came in 3 grades, this being the lowest grade. There is a fully enameled one and a neck badge as pictured on the book cover, middle. The medal on the lower left corner is either the Arts & Science medal or Part of the House order 1st model.By the way, Tim Eriksen has these books for sale in the US. landsknechte
This is the only thing from Waldeck that was ever in my collection, one of the very few items that I have ever sold. (To reunite it with a matching medal bar.)
