padro Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 (edited) I would really appreciate any further info you might have on this Officer Chris, as I can't find anything on him post war. Unfortunately he is one of those who doesn't appear on ancestry also. Glad you like it ccj. Best regards Pete Edited January 9, 2014 by padro

Chris Boonzaier Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Hi Pete, It is just by coincidence I remembered these, a week ago I was digging in my "to do" binders and found this bunch, it is a selection of letters from higher officers, sone signed dedicated stuff to him. I got it years ago, hunting auction after auction. On the weekend i will probably be home and can look into it.
Chris Boonzaier Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Hi Pete, I put a couple of things up on that thread... must still dig out the rest
ccj Posted January 31, 2014 Author Posted January 31, 2014 Can this bar be identified? Bavarian officer, I would think a higher ranking officer
Paul C Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 CCJ, Interesting bar. What is the second to last ribbon on the right?
P.F. Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 It looks like the Saxon Albert Order Paul. Pierce
ccj Posted February 1, 2014 Author Posted February 1, 2014 Any opinions on whether or not the bar can be ID'd based on the combination? In the paste I would have gone straight to Rick because we've been acquaintances so long. I know many others are adept in this area too. It's larger than most bars. I'll take a photo to compare.
ccj Posted February 1, 2014 Author Posted February 1, 2014 (edited) Comparison to a similar Bavarian bar Edited February 1, 2014 by ccj
Paul C Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 That ID for that bar should jump off the page, but I can't find him. I tried searching for the RAO and BZ3?XE and no luck - very frustrating. Also tried search with the SA3. Damn, I miss Rick!!!
Daniel Krause Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Hi Charles, nice one! I am sure I habe already Seen it and I habe a Name. At the moment I am not at home, will come back soon :-) Greetings Daniel
Daniel Krause Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Hi Charles, I am fairly sure the bar belonged to Major Hermann Müller-Brand, Adjutant of the Bavarian Crown Prince. He was much more decorated, his final Medal Bar had 20 awards. There are some more shorter and longer ribbon bars from him at the market. I think some of the shorter ones are either earlier ones or he did wear some shorter bars with selected awards for whatever "fashion" or personal reasons. Lots of greetings Daniel
ccj Posted February 4, 2014 Author Posted February 4, 2014 Thanks Daniel I'll start searching for photos.
