speedytop Posted July 30, 2020 Posted July 30, 2020 Hi, they used the word "Kronanwalt", based on the British law, for a "Staatsanwalt". In 1963 Hannover was a kingdom; they lost this "title" after the war from 1866. Please switch in the link to the English version. Uwe

saschaw Posted August 25, 2020 Posted August 25, 2020 (edited) I don't want to be a spoilsport, but why do we assume this Langensalza medal is to the mentioned attorney, and not to some enlisted man who of course would not appear in a states handbook? Albrecht is no uncommon surname in northern Germany. I'm not saying it couldn't be his - but neither do I see a reason to think it is, to be honest! Edited August 25, 2020 by saschaw

paul wood Posted August 25, 2020 Posted August 25, 2020 I think thr Langensalza is a lovely underpriced medal with potential for considerable fun especially with an uncomon naming. p
Clausen Posted August 30, 2020 Posted August 30, 2020 Interesting subject! I had no idea that named could be listed in the above mentioned book. I have a medal named to “H V Rohden”. Any chance of him being in the book? Bjorn
