Paul R Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 I would say that Ed and Christian have very nice and mind blowing collections! Ed, I always enjoy seeing your additions. The Red Banner of Labor for the teacher is most impressive. I love the photo in her award booklet.
Christian Zulus Posted October 26, 2008 Posted October 26, 2008 (edited) I would say that Ed and Christian have very nice and mind blowing collections!Dear Paul, many thanks for your compliments , but my small & humble collection http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=26288 is just a fraction - in terms of historic and market value - of Ed's outstanding collection . Look at the wide range of groups and researched items, Ed his in his "Soviet Swamp" - just amazing .Best regards Christian Edited October 26, 2008 by Christian Zulus

HenkWillem Posted December 1, 2008 Posted December 1, 2008 Ed, a very nice collection of Soviet awards. Is it possible to track down the serial numbers on the back of the Badge of Honour?
Ed_Haynes Posted December 1, 2008 Author Posted December 1, 2008 Ed, a very nice collection of Soviet awards. Is it possible to track down the serial numbers on the back of the Badge of Honour? With just a serial number, no. If you have a documented item, early (pre-1943 or so) awards can sometimes be traced, but it isn't easy or cheap or certain. The same is true for the Red Banner of Labor.
Ed_Haynes Posted December 17, 2008 Author Posted December 17, 2008 Like everyone else, not much new of late, either things or research. Here is a new group that combines both things and research.Sergeant Oleg Alexandrovich Baklan, 181st Motorized Infantry Regiment, 108th Motorized Division, 40th Army, Turkestan Military DistrictSee: http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=32779
