No, there aren't any special administrative ranks anymore.

Is this literally a father and son set? I love the one on the left. The brown Nebenfarbe is not at all common!

Speaking of brown nebenfarbe these came in the mail :jumping: I have never seen a set of these to date. I have one shoulder board and as you know from above Roman has a single board as well. The Sutter boys might have some brown items but I dont feel like trolling their threads on WAF at the momment.

Only 2 career that had a light brown nebenfarbe:

Barracks Administrator (Heeresunterkunftsverwaltung);

and Teachers at Professional Schools (Professional School Service (Lehrpersonal an Heeres- und Wehrmachtfachschulen, Heeresfachschuldienst)) for non technical teachers.

The first only had a elevated/medium career levels, while the second had High career and elevated/medium career levels. So no guess work there.

Matched with my brown board which is a little darker. Not sure if it's a color variationor not. There are 5 trades that are of unknown nebenfarbe that I am aware of so who knows.

Thanks for looking

:Cat-Scratch: Neato! I have a family group including partial award documents for WW1 Leutnant dR and later Fach-Studienrat Curt H?gel, at army Fachschule Verden/Aller in May 1939 and previously (1934) Leiter der Fachschule der Landespolizei in Bremen.

Never saw "his" insignia before!

That is some really nice and RARE insignia!! :jumping:

I think that you may be onto something... The colors do look remarkably different shades of brown. It is possible that they represent two variables in dye lots for the same nebenfarbe but the variation is very drastic. Very interesting and desirable to me!! Nice job!

And just to close off the "Brown" file. Again a slightly different shade of brown. These could swing either way....Heeresunterkunftsverwaltung or Lehrpersonal an Heeres- und Wehrmachtfachschulen, Heeresfachschuldienst

I would get vol 1 next. Vol 3 pertains mainly to equipement and weapons. I will thumb through it again to be sure.

Hi guys,

I am new to this community, so please excuse me if I ask things that are already discussed.

I have several socalled Stellenbesetzungslisten from for example the Heeresgruppe Südukraine, the 2., 4., 8., and 9. Armee, as well as several Generalkommandos.

The regular ranks are not a problem for me to understand. However, the large amount of Wehrmachtbeamten, and all their fancy names are more difficult to understand.

I am trying to put a Stellengruppe to a specific name, and can not find all the things I want to.

For example, what's the difference between an Intendant and a Feldintendant? Does this have to do with the TSD-system? (I have to search the microfilm containing the Allgemeine Heeresmitteilungen as of 1944 to figure out what the old designations were, and what they became).

So, my question is: does anyone here have a chart of Beamten ranks?

TIA,

Piet Duits
