    5. I would like to add two to this, one great, one so-so, Both from same man, the Schwerin bought, the vertical pin one of 3 vertical pins given to him when it was awarded. It was a Narvik award...
    6. Hi, Nope, women could get one as well, no problemo... just scarce to see one. If I remember correctly, these were initially 1940s for the defences in the west, then reinstated at the end of the war for the Eastern front.
    7. A little bit late on this, I know... but I recently got a photo and docs to a Bavarian, and he spread all his Kyfhäuser bars onto his EK2 and Hindy... had 9 bars!!
    8. Thats funny, we both have the same compass as captured and used by Germans!!
    9. A favourite little group I had was 3 docs to one man... KVK2 with swords, KVK2 without swords and Kriegsverdienst medal 1st was for an airraid, 2nd for his work as NSDAP Blockleiter and 3rs his jod as a locksmith... would have been an interesting ribbon bar...
    10. Sounds right, with the lufschutz medal. my wifes paterna grandfather was a WW1 vet, KVK2 with swords for airraids im München in July 1944

    13. I know nothing about belgian medals... but could he have been captured early in the war, ergo no combat service after d-day?
