    1. HI, Nice, I am a bit of a watch fan, also without the insanely expensive stuff. You can get some really decent stuff on ebay. My problem is ... i am a bit clumsy with the stuff and they do tend to break if not treated right...
    2. Here is a small group, including the shrapnel that wounded him......
    3. I think an understanding of the time/Place is needed... there must have been a big confusion there during the war... were other soldiers simply (Colonial etc), the remains of other units... simply under Legion command? I imagine the reality on the ground made for circumstances we can barely imagine today. The uniform in the initial photo is probably pieced together from waht was availible at the time.
    4. If you can get it for that you are laughing. Good luck!!
    5. Hi Gordon, please note though... there are big differences between Europe and North america prices. The last 2 MG08/15s I saw in canada were between $2500 and 3000, both on collectors guild over the last 10 years Best Chris
    6. Hi, I think a nice MG08/15 in Europe will be around EUR4000-6000, a MG08 with Sledge mount upward of EUR10-12000 A lot depends on of all the doodads are there, original paintwork is a huuuuuge plus.... In Canada its cheaper though....
    7. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lauri_T%C3%B6rni I am looking at the SS Pic.... and the biography..... somehow it does not fit IMHO...... What do you guys think?
    8. I knew an SS Guy who fought at Metz... there was an SS Nachrichten Schule there that took poart in the fighting. Best Chris
    9. Very nice indeed.... just the thing for the desk at work!!
    10. HI, It may have to do with "Gun 4" in an MG Unit? Full photo is here... http://www.kaiserscross.com/246801/432122.html
    11. Hi, I saw the above docs for sale, has nothing to do with the FW troops at all though. Almost all Pionier Units were closely intertwined with the MW units. best Chris
    12. Hi, They can be seen in full here.. http://www.kaiserscross.com/286801/407001.html They predate the KS98 in GSWA. The guy second from the right in the photo in the second post has the version without a sawback. Check out Chris Dale's site, he has a great selection of pieces shown Best Chris
