    1. Is there a sample of the numbered versions? (picture would be great) I know that some early versions of Hero of Socialist Labour definatley had a serial number.
    2. Wow, sad to hear about the neglect, why is the reason for it going in this state? Lack of funds? No one to take care of it etc? Is there a volunteer organization that might be willing to do a cleaning of the cemetery (or organizations) that might expedite the process?
    3. Wow, if this is worth this price our Military Merits are all worth 500 each lol Sad that this one is down to this state. Although I wouldn't mind adding it to the collection for a fair price
    4. lol Man so this doesn't only happen to me It is called Karma and what goes around comes around, trust me, I've had this situation too many times before. From family items that were stolen during the war (we should get these things for free, no? lol alas, I offer a fair price regardless, because I don't like people losing money on items they paid for) To items that complete groups. The epic X10 the price event usually comes to mind. A this medal or that document usually springs up in price, later, maybe a year or 2 down the road, karma comes back and they sell the doc I need on ebay on an auction for 0.99 cents or something silly (happened to me once before In short my friends, keep on hoping and being good collectors like you all are treating people respectfully and hoping one day that this will join the collection, I find that evil and bad people in the collecting world sometimes with the help of some good karma get what is coming to them (if they are complete douches )
    5. It would have been interesting to pick up the case too, both make a fantastic addition :D
    6. They get too heavy on the chest maybe? Or he is just humble I think, maybe doesn't want to bring everything and only chooses certain ones for special occasions.
    7. Wow, come on lotto win! 1 in a bigilion chances I win the jackpot tonight hehehe If it happens, you can bet I'll be attending (will they let the VC leave the country and go to Canada? lol Or take your money and be like "it can't leave the UK, never!! ) Like they did with Jane Austin's ring that Kelley Clarkson purchased?
    8. From the rear, the document looks like that organization that made their own version of medals (something or something to fund their political party ) and then awarded them on vets etc, they have their own OPW 1 and 2 and Lenin made in like Czechoslovakia or something.
    9. Regardless, it is cool to have the #2 of whatever day of the month issue, it probably adds 1% value for me, but its cool (again not 1.7k cool lol)
    10. I think value is based on a lot of other documents that are in the same range. There are a lot of 1st Class Takovo's out there. Although the #2 makes it a bit more special and to Turkish recipient I don't think that past that amount (a couple % more than reg. Takovo 1st class) would precipitate such a high valuation I think the only person that might pay this amount would be someone who has this Turkish Recipient's group and is missing this to complete it. Then again, I would assume in such a case that they would bargain for a better price.
    11. Awesome, love how it is well organized and pure awesome !
    12. I think its more something like a Child playing around with red fingernail polish (for the "enameled" Bravery Medal) That is usually what happens when Orders and Medals aren't kept in lock and key :D
    13. Whatever it is, even if it is fully "legit" It looks like a bit of repair going on it. I don't like the places where it is chipped in. looks odd really. and price is way over what we would pay for anything GAS anyway of that period lol The red on the eagles is a bit odd too like someone adding it a bit later etc. Also the attachment suspension is different from Obi's example.
    14. No problem at all Toni welcome to the forum and here is to many more orders and medals that might join your collection and add to it You are also in Canada hehehe so even better, more Canadian members ! hehehe :)
    15. The two large Star ones are cap badges if it looks like gilt it is officer grade if they are silver usually reg. and so are the smaller stars. The rest I have no idea but most look Yugoslavian (the Torch, small pilot style wing and the two winged badge, no idea ) That is the best I can help on badges sorry :D
    16. Awesome photos must of been great to attend
    17. Sweet thank you very much Maybe my Imperial German with Order of Avis might be in there :D
    18. " I still do not know real or fake, perhaps it ia a new museum copy ,because the seller 's image is too small " It looks legitimate, but the only problem with it is, why just buy the breast star since its a 2nd class.
    19. Great start to the collection and many more to come in the future :)
    20. There was one replica of these on ebay being offered a couple days ago since im using my phone i cant enlarge the images so i had to double check
    21. Is this the replica that was being offered on ebay just a new listing or an actual other listing?
    22. It'd just be nice if the quality was there again, and gold for the gold orders :D come on gold! lol I'd even be ok with the 14k or dare I say "lower" grades of gold
    23. Thanks for posting, very cool Nick Hmm gilt? ?
