    2. I have not found any of the names in my sources , but Navy is always more complicated than Army... They have quite high rank (Kapitänleutnant) so I think they will turn up if they where in Finland . I would expect a FK3X on the ribbon bar for a rank like that , but maybe he was in sort of staff or similar ? I keep on looking Christer
    3. Hmm, I think you are right Glenn Look at this pic of Balck , sure it is the same guy ?
    4. Thanks again Dave ! In June I had 20 names for Germans with FK3X 1918 and now I have 65 Most of the Bavarian Officers I had from Ancestry , but at least four names was new to me ! The somewhat mystery one is Bernhard Schwarz LdR who got a FM2 inspite of being an Lt ?? He would normally be awarded an FK3 Keep them coming Dave if you have more I dont have any numbers of FK3X given to Germans in 1918 , the only total I have is 509 FK3X 1918 and I have names on 152 right now , probably most of the missing ones is Finnish Capt/Majors . The search goes on Christer
    5. Very nice bar Miguel ! There was 1394 FFK3X ol awarded so it not that many from the beginning and of those we can take away some that have a other awards the difficulty is that are no rolls what I know of for the Summa and Dragoon Brigade Cross. I can start to look for candidates but it can take a while Christer
    6. Wow ! Of all the names I only had two FinnFK1X I have now 20 names FinnFK2X I have now 52 names FinnFK3X I have now 139 names I have only one correction to the information you listed and that is the officer Maj Gilbert Graf Hamilton he looks like this and he was a Swedish Officer ! He left the Swedish Army 27 October 1914 and joined the Preuss Army. Thanks a lot Dave wonderful christmas gift Christer
    7. Wow ! That would be very interesting to have Dave I have never seen the Kriegsrangliste of the Ostsee- Div so that would be a real Graal for me I will have some free time during Christmas/New Year so it would be perfect if I could add some names Christer
    8. Great Info Andy ! See if I can find this guy , I can forget all Navy officers so not that many left to look for Christer
    9. No problem to have the Finnish rolls , They are right now in Excel format with a lot of pictures But I need to fix them a little to make them readable in English Then I can post them to anyone interested , of course they are not 100% complete ( and will probably never be ) but I see them as Ia living document to be updated. And I´m right now working on a Roll for Order of the Wasa to Germans , quite a lot of mostly civilian who got this. Christer
    10. Aha Thanks Daniel , I was thinking that to. Does anyone know how many RAO 2 x el that was awarded during 1914-18 , what I can see from Ludvigsens book there was not many awarded before WW1 , but I suppose during the war there was a lot more. Christer
    11. Hi all, just got this photo in the mail , it says RAO 1 X mit el on backside ? I just wonder if that is coorect ? Or is it a 2nd class .... Of couse if anyone could tell me who the General is , that would be a nice christmas gift Christer
    12. I´m to willing to help out with writing out Rolls, right now I am writing in my database of Finnish awards 1918-1945 but a change to German names is welcomed Christer
    13. Hi all, I got this photo in the mail yesterday , and thanks to big help on another forum I now know who the men in the pic are and something about what happened after the photo was taken. The aeroplane is an LVG CV a two seater. And the man on the left is Flugzeugführer Gefreiter Schmalt and the other man is OberLeutnant Otto Fischer , both men served in FFA 256 from May 1918 in France. The pic must be taken in May 1918 or in the first days of June 1918 since Otto Fischer was killed in action on June 3rd 1918. I could very well be one of the last pictures taken of Otto Fischer before he was killed at Bailleul. An interesting Photo with a tragic story, I wonder what happened with Gefreiter Schmalt ? If he continued into Luftwaffe later..... Christer
    14. Now I see why there areFerraris parked outside the main Post office It used to be bicycles ......

    16. Interesting, the first EK doc I´ve seen to a non German , but there must be some out there to Austrians . Does anyone know how many EK II that was awarded to Austrian soldiers ? Christer
    17. Wow , wonderful doc . Must to keep an eye on Ebay.de when this doc to a Bavarian corpral turns up.... Christer
    18. Waiting for mine Cost 16 Eur to sweden but still, 26E total = Christer
    19. Hi all. This is my first ribbon bar with the Kreigsverdienstkreuz , if I understand right this was mostly awarded to " behind the front " people and Medics , but since he have both an EK and a HEK with swords I suppose he must have been in uniform at least in some sort of action. A Medic officer? And yes I noticed that the bar is upside down on the pic Christer
    20. Hi Alan , Fantastic ribbonbar , the last one could be a Turkish Life saving medal or maybe a Swedish Wasa Order , I am right now working on a list of Germans with Wasa Order , most people are civilian but some military also got it, Christer
    21. And the buyer seems to bought a lot of things in the past ? (3000 + feedback ) and not a member here ...... to bad
    22. I had this up 3 years ago but I thought it is a good time to get some light on it again since it is one of the stranger bars I have What do yoo make of this ?? Christer
    23. The ribbon on both the medal bar and the ribbon bar is really for the Finnish Liberty Cross 2nd class medal , not the 3rd class Libert Cross as now. But we often see " close enough " ribbons on German medal/ribbon bars ...... And most of the Germans I have in my database for Finnish Liberty Cross III 1918 was Leutnants. A hauptmann or higher would probably got a 2nd class. When awarded to Germans the cross was almost always "bumped up " a class , compared to Finnish officers.
    24. I´m right now working on a list for Germans with Wasa Order , but as always it takes a lot of time , I have maybe a copule of hundred so far but the work goes on I will everyone know when I have a decent list to present Probably it will be impossible to find any suspects but you never know , stranger things have happend Christer
