    1. Hi Detlef , You always find very interesting bars ! The combo looks alright to me, quite unusual but possible . The last medal should be in third place , its the order of Estonian home guard if I´m correct and the medal missing in last place should be Finnish Com medal 1918. But if that Liberty Cross 2nd class is real Buy it ! Christer
    2. Hallo Jnowotny , Great to find a relative to the great pilot ! It would be nice to know if you can find something about a Finnish award All the best from Sweden Christer
    3. I know it´s a small and quite blurry pic, but I thought I should share it with you anyway. The photo shows a young Sailor probably with his mother, I think he is a Matrosengefreiter Artillery ? and ha has been in some action ..... EK II , EK I (cant be very often a ordinary seaman got an EK I ? ) Wound badge , Minesweeper Badge , High Seas Badge. And I think I can see a Shooting cord also on his left shoulder. I wonder what ship he was on a survivor from Bismarck ?? Well he could be from almost any surface ship I suppose but the thought is thrilling at least. Nothing written on the back so we will never know the story behind this forgotten soldier, another mystery photo in my collection ...... Christer
    4. Ohps, you are right Martin NCOs , dont know how many officers there where on a ship like this ? Maybe this is all the NCOs ombord ? Christer
    5. Wow , Post No 19 was a real mystery , I would never had guessed on a life saving medal to a Prussian and in a not "normal" Bavarian unit Sometimes the answer hide behind some ordinary ribbons ... looking forward to the Schwarzburg Rolls ! Thanks Dave
    6. Does anyone know if Turkish Lifesavings medals was annouced in Marine-Verodnungsblatt ?? I know that the Prussian life saving medals where at least some ....

    9. Got this nice photo today, with some officers on Zerstörer Z 34 in July 1944 Photo taken in Norway. The officers have a mixture of awards , EK I , Minesweeper badge, Destroyer Badge and one High Seas Fleet Does anyone know the names of Z 34 officers ? Could it be possible to Id any ? Christer
    10. Thanks all, I also think now that the most probaly is a Turkey lifesaving medal for 2nd saving I won the bar so I will post better pics. Maybe a German Sailor good at swimming ?
    11. What could that third ribbon be ? EK - Turkey (Eisener Halbmond) and The bar is made by Godet in Berlin anyone got any clues ?
    12. Nice one Dean ! He was a Non Combat in two wars And that 40 year Civil Service makes it just Wow Christer

    14. This is my latest object to my collection , and what a wonderful Order I really think these could compete with imperial German in Quality Liberty Cross 3rd Class 1939 for non combat , they are really rare to find and the numbers awarded is FEW believe me This is the nicest I have seen ever its like new , given to a Swedish who probably put it in a drawer 1939 and looked at it from time to time ..... Christer
    15. And here is a tragic story .... Albrecht Simmerling in IR 92 sent this Photo of himself in full uniform to his friend Walter van Hus 30th Sept 1914 , he was then a Kriegsfreiwilliger and maybe he saw the war as an adventure or just something that had to be a part of. He didn´t last long February 5th 1915 he was listed as KIA another young man buried in the mud of Flandern Fields.....
    16. Aha, interesting ! Now When I look closer at the Photo I see Three officers from Brunswick ! Second from left front row , just left of the window back row and to the right of Joeden. What kind of meeting could it be ? Christer
    17. Hi Troy, thats some mixed items there Troy Minefield flag - Dosen´t look lika the real ones I seen ? The Viking ring smell all bad to me " Uboat-badge " ?? never seen one, but dosnt look like anything genuine WWII to me Navy observers badge - no don´t think so , no Hansa Cross - Looks completely Genuine to me And the Zeppelin Badge Crew badge ? In my humble opinion its a fake/fantasy piece but I have seen theese sold for 100s $ (wich is no sure sign of course) maybe some WW 1 Air expert can tell for sure ? Christer
    18. :jumping: Fantastic Christophe, Nice to have him Id´d , who was the Officer from Brunswick ? Thats the first Photo I have with anyone with a Waldeck Pyrmont award. Von Joeden doesn´t look to be a guy who smiles to often.... There is a saying in Sweden that the Swedish General von Döbeln only laughed twice in his life, once when he saw the Swedish fortress Waxholm and second when hes mother in law died...... Christer
    19. Aha Thanks Glenn, Would it be possible to Id the Officer , If I remember right there where very few Orders of this class awarded ? Here is the complete photo Christer
    20. This is a part of a bigger pic with officers , all wearing EK I. But what do the officer on the left have ?? He has one Neck order and one breast order. The man on the right looks like he have a Lippe KVK I or am I wrong ? Christer
