    1. I have never seen this award before!! Most likely, he was a WW2 vet as well, with a medal set floating around!
    2. I am glad to hear that you are doing a bit better! This is a great documented grouping. I do not see the 1985 documents too frequently!
    3. Thanks Bob!! It is a tragidy to hear that your tunics are all gone! Thanks for the compliment on the straps. I got the set from Kai a few months ago for about 150 dollars!! He had them listed as General Staff!
    4. I agree!! I have not seen such a diverse collection of Hero stars before!
    5. That is an amazing medal. Would it have been possible for him to have participated in any more battles?
    6. Very nice researched medal! It should be easy enough to find the missing items! Congrats! I can hardly wait to see the translation for the citation!
    7. I am in the Coast Guard, so I am speaking from that stance. Our Chief's insignia is still done in bullion. Based upon the patina on the insignia on your jacket, I think that it is of a much older vintage than 2007. It could be WW2 era.
    8. HGD was the only unit that used the pink piped shoulder straps!
    9. Those are beautiful, Bob!! Thanks for sharing them! You have the rest of the tunic as well, dont you?
    10. Thanks Bob!! I seem to be a magnet for the ATC stuff. I have my sites on a single Supplimental Officer ATC board!! I enjoy learning more about this branch!
    11. Thankfully, the service dress jacket CPO rankings are still done in bullion!!
    12. I like the early officer's brown belt! Thanks for sharing them, Snoopy!
    13. Thank you Robert!! There is so much. I will place copies in the appropriate section. I like the image with the various officials at the award ceremony!! Great stuff! Paul
    14. The color of the piping(middle layer) on the shoulder boards is how the Judicial officials are designated! Also, there is a TSD Branch to the Judicial arm as well. They have a sword on their boards! http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=16844
    15. After two years of it being on hold, I was finally able to pay off this beautiful Major General's tab! The scan does not do it justice. The patina on the embroidery is fantastic. The tab actually seems heavier than a typical LW Officer tab.
    16. Hello!! Welcome to the forum and thank you for your question. Well, the insignia are different between the branches... too many to explain in one posting. I am not very experienced with the other branches of German military services. Larry, what can you tell us about the Army's Judicial Officials?
    17. Here is a board for an Oberjustizwachtmeister. I have placed the set of tabs with the board, for display.
