    1. The number does look odd. Can you please post some close ups of the number? Perhaps some with different light reflections to see if there are signs of gentle removal of the first number? I think that this number should reflect a screwback award. I think that reissued versions have the "Duplicate" mark on them.
    2. I wonder what prompted the official change?
    3. I am surprised the do not use the GSM or a generic Humanitarian Service Medals as well.
    4. Is there any evidence of the M1913 Patton Saber being worn/carried/used in the field during WW1 or later?
    5. I have never seen one like this for the Navy. It is a really nice item you have. Are you going to put insignia on it?
    6. Very attractive set of Brigadier boards.
    7. Thanks Chris. Jock, The belt is and etc are in storage. I will definitely make images once I get my war room back up and running. It is a dress belt made with a felt backing. Super lightweight. It is a prewar example, I think.
    8. I know that these are super rare. If it is legit, you have a very nice and desirable item. Here are some for comparison. http://www.germanmilitaria.com/Galleries/Helmets.html
    9. Thanks Glenn, This was just what I was looking for. So this rank was the highest possible for an enlisted member to attain. I bet that it was very prestigious position.
    10. If I did not know any better, I would say that the insignia was cast instead of stamped. What say the more advanced Heer folks?
    11. I agree. Officers should have a different chin strap. I do like the bullion on the BW caps.
    12. The collar tabs are dark green, which represents the Luftwaffe General Administration Corps. The specialty is designated in the middle layer of the shoulder boards. In this case, they are Rose Pink. The possible specialties are: Rose Pink- Photo Service, Motor Transport Service, Ordnance Service, Weapons and Ammunition Service, Technical Aircraft Service, Cartographic Service, Lithographic Service Thank you all for the kind words.
