    1. Hi. Thanks for the explaination. Just to set things straight, the Sea Units of KGB Border Troops and the Sea district guard units of Soviet Navy were two different organizations completely? Did they have a different insignia from you guys in the State Border services? Did the Naval Sea District Guard wear the standard naval inisignia colors or did they have their own specific colors and insignia? Christian, thank you. I am glad to see you back.
    2. Thank you for sharing your collection. That is a very nice representation of 70 years of German History(1870-1945). I am most attracted to the 1870 bars and the KM display. Are all of thes items to the KM NCO attributed to one person, or is it an amassed display? Regardless, I love it!
    3. What were the differences in these tasks? What were the differences in their insignia?
    4. The Blue Division medal is spectacular. Does the ring have a number stamped into it?
    5. I have heard of a KVK2 being awarded for livesaving and etc, but I have never seen a KVK1 awarded for something like that. I have not seen too many enlisted people with a KVK1.
    6. Some great bars!! I have been looking for a nice double DRK set for a while. Nice one you have there!
    7. Yes... variables such as the type(when it was struck) and whether it is named make a HUGE difference in pricing.
    8. Regardless, at least you know what is missing. It is a stellar grouping. How would an NCO receive a KVK1. I would have thought that an EK1 would have been warranted for shooting down planes, even behind the lines. I parallelled the KVK1 with a noncombattant EK in WW1...
    9. Yes, I hear you. I wish I would have picked up more when the stuff was more reasonably priced.
    10. I have no idea. Maybe he did not meet the criteria? Maybe the awards were "politically" driven? Perhaps a combo of both? I can tell you that this is one heck of a grouping.
    11. Here is a really nice and well used shoulder slide for a Major. The I have never seen an Iraqi pre 2003 shoulder slide with a colored shield. A friend told me that it could be Syrian. Are there any thoughts out there?
    12. Thanks Jeff. I bet that you could use some sun right about now ! Keep warm my friend!
    13. Awesome finds! I am a huge fan of all destroyer badges!! Yours is a beauty!
    14. Did you see tons of these? If so, can you pick me up some there? Here is a set of NCO straps that I have. They are also worn as beret/cap insignia.
    15. Thank you again for the information and photos of this interesting personality.
    16. Please forgive me if this strikes you as a stupid question, but is he of any blood relation to the Royal Family?
    17. I have never seen one in such pristine condition. I say that you did very well. Congrats.
    18. That is a nice sweet little grouping. Congrats! I am glad to see that you were able to obtain a photo of the recipient in one of the documents.
