    1. Another stellar grouping. I like the "destroyed the handgun" part. Does this mean that he somehow hit a pistol or submachine gun in a soldier's hands, rendering it inoperable? What are the odds of that?
    2. Another awesome grouping, Ed. I guess his commander "cracked". Very interesting. I have never seen this in a citation before!

      Heer Spanish Vet

Until I examined the ribbons. I wonder why the Spanish Cross was darkened out?

      Heer Spanish Vet

I was going over my photos. At first, I thought that this was an ordinary Heer NCO wedding shot...
    5. That is an interesting photo. It looks as if he needed a uniform in short order. The straps are the ones used on the Summer white uniform, right? Interesting how they are attached by the button after being passed through a slide for the slip on boards.
    6. The Marines do allow for the Viet' Nam Service medal, awarded by the ARVN as well as the host of foreign awards from Desert Storm. The 5th Marine Regiment and the 6th Marine Regiment of the United States Marine Corps were awarded the Fourrag?re for having earned the Croix de Guerre with palm leaf twice during World War I.
    7. That is amazing piece. I have never seen one before. What marking designates it as an Ostsee piece. Your KM collection is up there with the finest I have ever seen.
    8. Exactly. They are always worn at the lowest position on the medal bar as well.
    9. Beautiful Rifles, Michel. The center rifle in the first photograph seems to have the "H" for the Heer on the stock. Regards Paul
    10. Here is a single tab, just in, for a Lower Level Stabsfeldwebel equivalent ranking.
    11. Michel, That is the best looking KM helmet I have ever seen! Thanks for sharing it.
    12. Is the second illustration in real gold? I really like the enamelling on these. Any clue as to where they were made?
    13. Welcome to the GMIC! I look forward to learning more about your Lifesaving medal roles!
    14. That is what I thought. Those suspension eyelets dont look like anything I have ever seen before on originals here. Just wanted to be sure! Thanks! Paul
    15. Thanks Christian. Why would the price on the second class be higher than the First Class? Were there fewer second classes awarded? Paul
    16. I know that the pics are not that great, but I have asked for more. What are your thoughts on this pair. I do know that this combination is not possible, but are the medals authentic?
    17. That is amazing!! Do you still have photos of this? How was it verified that he was in the Union Army. Was he serving our Civil War as a German Advisor or as an American?
    18. Congrats on your new acquisition! How much are second classes? Last time I checked, they fetched about the same price as the first class. Does this hold true?
    19. Newest piece is for a member of the Luftwaffe Field Division Rifle Regiments.
