    1. John and Eric, Thank you for posting your examples. I can see why photos are collectible in themselves!! Bill, Your Ing. collection is out of this world. I am drooling very much over the Obernautiker photo!!
    2. You have been holding out Ricky!! I had no idea that you have amassed such a collection! Nice job.
    3. What amazing pieces. I had no idea that Lafayette was so young! Talk about a young General.
    4. They do look beautiful, all together like that! Thank you for showing them!
    5. That stinks!! I cannot believe that the British govt would not allow the wear of a US decoration. I know of a British soldier who received a US Bronze Star for something...
    6. I have never seen a double of these either. Amazing photo. I wonder what would be charged for this grouping?!
    7. This is one for the books!! I am sure that not many Nevsky s were awarded for that front!

      Medal Group

Looks like a US Legion of Merit in there!! He must have held some significant rank to get one of those! This is a once in lifetime find. I wonder if there is a US Legion of Merit role somewhere?
    9. I have never seen a walking Liberty. What is that?
    10. Thanks guys, for the replies. The reason I went ahead with the deal was the oxidation and the price was very right(I bought it with a grouping of insignia). Leigh, It is always a pleasure to see your beautiful insignia!! Thank you! Can you please post the reverse of your tabs? Gary, Thank you for the detailed explanation. I do feel a lot better about the tab. The areas I listed are qualities I have seen very accurately portrayed in reproductions. Nesredep, Thank you for your wise words! Like you said, it is very important to keep an open mind as unusual variants are often more common than textbook pieces.
    11. I like them!! Now... what are they doing with the Nickels? I have seen a few of these. What are they supposed to be doing with them?
    12. I have been collecting these state quarters since 1999. I cannot believe that I have been on these for almost 10 years already. Where has the time gone!? Paul
    13. Great stuff there. Are photos normally prohibited at Arafat's tomb? That is a great photo! Are these guards armed?
    14. Thanks for the link, Howard. I see that he was sentenced to death. I wonder what he was convicted on to get that initial sentence. Also, I wonder how he came to win the DKiS as a Reservist?
    15. back Any objective input would be greatly appreciated! Regards Paul
    16. I have mixed feelings on this one... could this be a missing link piece? On first sight, I do not like the tab facing material. I do not like the way the gulls are embroidered... but... I do like the buckram, outer cord, patina(oxidation), and wreath. I am so mixed up on this one. I have held stranger and more unusual period pieces but this one has me baffled. What are your thoughts? Regards Paul
    17. That is a piece to be happy with, Troy! Bear in mind that this medal is most likely 100 years old and perhaps worn with pride at one time.
    18. The land there actually looks beautiful. Is that Arafat's final resting spot, in the first photo?
    19. Great photos!! Who occupies the buildings now? Civil Govt or Allied troops?
    20. An RK and a DKiS? What an odd combo. I wonder how he earned the two?
    21. As usual, simply stunning. I am in awe with the purple cross. It is one of the more attractive non military medals I have seen. How many have been awarded thus far?
    22. You have been getting some very rare stuff lately! Postal is one area where I do not have any pieces! Great find there!
    23. I am very interested! Please do post away! Did you hear any explosions when you were there?
