    1. I look forward to seeing what the two Ricks have to say about it. I am not too keen on it. It looks recently constructed to me. I could be wrong. Anyway your Baden, Knight's Cross , with swords has a different clasp than the one on the cover of the book(unless my eyes are failing me), although all the other details seem to match perfectly.. Regards Paul
    2. Wow!! That is the mintiest one I have ever seen!!! It will be worth big money... to someone
    3. Great topic! I had no idea that the railway service had such attractive uniforms! Dave, yours is a real stunner! Thanks for sharing! Paul
    4. As usual, great stuff!!! That flak set is pristine! The DLV is very unique!
    5. Very nice! I really like the type of color used to bring these to life!
    6. It would make sense... but we know how strange the rules can be in this area(weapons/medics). The reason I ask is that I have a first pattern Marksmanship lanyard. If I can place it on my sani tunic, I will keep it... other wise I am thinking about selling it! Regards Paul
    7. Hi Ed, I know what you mean about the Lifesaving medal. The lifesaving medals are Civilian awards, that are processed and awarded by the Coast Guard. I have seen a couple ceremonies where Coast Guard Admirals presented Silver and Gold medals to civilians(fishermen) for saving lives at sea. I only know of one Coast Guard member who was awarded a Silver Lifesaving medal. For a Coast Guard member to be eligible to receive the award, the deed must have occured while off duty. As far as I know, the Coast Guard is now the only branch of service that allows the Lifesaving Medal or Ribbon bar to be worn on the uniform.
    8. I am interested in how he was awarded the Coast Guard's Silver Lifesaving medal!
