    1. Hah, I didn't even notice that it's for a BMVK1, never seen one in this type before.
    2. These are a veritable minefield, and most examples I've seen are fakes. We need one of our German colleagues who specialises in Mecklenburg to have a look.
    3. OK, so the Jubilee Medal is a match. I think he's wearing the St. Stanislaus on a bar which has yet to be 'updated' by his orders tailor.
    4. Thanks for the link. I'm not sure if he was an Oberleutnant or Leutnant at the time of the award, so there are several candidates.
    5. Hi Jens, He was a Prussian, judging from the medal bar, was a recipient of the EK2 on the combat ribbon, and took part in the 1864, 1866 and 1870 campaigns. He was at Dueppel and Alsen. More information I don't have, but I appreciate your help.
    6. This is great, could you look up Oberleutnant Mueller of the Feldartillerie? I don't have a first name, and I only know that he died in 1896.
    7. My query should not be falsely interpreted. I also protect my privacy, and I am in close contact with major collectors in Germany who, for security reasons, also keep a low profile. But when someone comes out of seemingly nowhere with really incredible material, of course it peaks my interest, especially if that individual is using a forum as a platform for commercial purposes.
    8. I would be interested to know if you are running a publishing house. Also, how long have you been collecting, as you've seemingly come out of nowhere recently with all these spectacular items.
    9. Here is a little bar that is visiting right now. Apparently it is very rare to find a Prussian VK awarded to a Bavarian.
    10. I guess I'm hijacking my own thread, but here is a nice bar with another Romanian award.
    11. Excellent, and quite a family connection. My 3x great grandfather was also involved in the conflict, but on the Prussian side. I once had dinner with an old family friend, and saw a portrait of a Napoleonic officer on his wall. It turned out he was a direct descendant of Marshal Graf Barclay de Tolly.
    12. Someone on another forum wanted to see this bar, which I've had for many years. I thought members here might also like it.
