    1. Hardy, great story and items. I think your grandfather was backing up my grandfather during the assault on Flanders in 1914.
    2. What can you say, except absolutely outstanding piece. The condition is incredible. Do you have an award figure for this piece?
    3. I've been looking for my uncle's Ehrenpokal from 1940 for years now, and hope one day that it will turn up. Of course I would offer to pay fair market value for it. I'm glad that this item has turned out to be the real deal.
    4. Typical example of the award period with lovely core details, congratulations on this one.
    5. Certainly an extremely interesting bar, would like to see the urkunde as well.
    6. Heiko, I think there was a group over at the Gemeinschaft which had 8 clasps, if I remember correctly.
    7. Alex is right, something fishy going on here. I would be very surprised to see the award of a silver Becher this late in the war.
    8. The EK is definitely a later Spangenstueck, but it is a very nice NCO's bar, and not that common a combination.
    9. These are nice pieces and usually sell in the 200-300.00 range, depending on maker and condition.
    10. Thanks very much gentlemen for all this useful information. One of my documents has Weinland as serving in Marienburg.
    11. I have some documents from this officer, and would appreciate any biographical details on him, as well as a photo, if possible.
    12. Now that is a museum. You need sunglasses for all the enamel on display. I think the Boelcke family still has his original decorations.
    13. I like the looks of this one, and agree that it is a silver merit medal from Baden for em's. What is the ribbon second from last?
    14. Ach du liebe Zeit Rudi, that is an amazing collection. Now I know where all the Philips went.
    15. I concur, really incredible collection with lots of variation. Could you show close-ups of your Red Eagle 3rd Class with Swords? It is a personal favorite of mine.
    16. Colin, this is an incredible collection, you have my congratulations. I have collected autographs since 1984, and have never seen such a detailed collection pertaining to the plotters. I have a particular interest in the plot, as my great-grandfather was an intimate associate of Roland Freisler for many years. He was the district court judge for Kassel and was actually replaced by Freisler after the Nazi takeover due to his less-than-zealous stance towards the new regime. On a side note, my grandmother used to like to tell the story of how Freisler helped her hang her drapes in her apartment about 1930. Of course he was later notorious for other types of hanging. My uncle was a fighter pilot, but in civilian life he was a lawyer, and in the late 1930's was a judge at the Volksgericht, before assuming front-line commands when the war broke out. So I come by it honestly on both sides of my family.
