    1. Ach du Lieber, I've heard of this collection, but hadn't seen pics. That mini-spange is incredible, and that PLM from 1866.....
    2. I agree, looks very good to me. These were awarded to members of the Fliegertruppe who had served at least three years in the air force.
    3. Looks like good quality, better than the average Spangenstueck. Are there any markings on the edge of the bottom cross arm?
    4. Sorry about that, here are his details: Paul Ludwig Weller, born 10.7.1868 in Koenigsberg, died 31.5.1932 in Schloss Metgethen.
    5. My great grandfather, Paul Weller, was a well-known philanthropist in Koenigsberg, East Prussia, and was awarded the Freeman of the City and an honorary doctorate from the Albertinum University as well. I think he must have received some bling from the Kaiser, but have no idea what awards he got. Any help would be appreciated. Officially he was a Rittergutsbesitzer.
    6. Very nice medal bar Dete, I love the Phillipsorden and am looking for a Schnalle with one with swords. So far I only have one without swords on a bar, also identified by the redoubtable research gnome.
    7. I saw this group come up, and thought it is just a thrown together mess. To me, the medal bar would not have belonged to a pilot, for several reasons.
    8. Very nice display, you have excellent taste, quite like mine. I especially like the White Falcon, and am looking for one.
    9. That's too bad, as Gold St. Henry Medals are rare for WW1, so this was a little hopeful.
    10. Wow, sounds like a secret meeting like that one on The Simpsons. Can't wait to see the goodies in their glory.
    11. Wow, that MVK group is fantastic. I have a couple of nice Schnallen with Finnish awards, but they are in storage. Once I have finished my move, I will post scans of them.
