Bob Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 http://www.collectrussia.com/DISPITEM.HTM?ITEM=17396Igor manages to get some nice things!
Gerd Becker Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 Indeed! Interesting thing is, that its one of the very last awarded HSU?s and the number is just 17 numbers under the highest known number.
Christian Zulus Posted July 14, 2007 Posted July 14, 2007 That is one amazing set! 32,000 dollars Gentlemen, well, I think, that will be the last event, to see such an outstanding (and complete!) group for mere 32k bucks on the market.Despite the fact, that Igor's HSU-group is relativly moderate priced, he stills offers it at his website .Best regards Christian

This is the cost of a nice car, and most people pay on a car for 4-5 years!! I am not bashing Igors price... I am just amazed.
Christophe Posted July 14, 2007 Posted July 14, 2007 I have to say this is a very nice grouping !!! If I had the money... Ch.
Ed_Haynes Posted July 14, 2007 Posted July 14, 2007 But when you consider what, say, a Victoria Cross group sells for, this really is a bargain. (For example, DNW sold a VC group in September 2006 for ?180,000!)
Christophe Posted July 14, 2007 Posted July 14, 2007 I fully agree, but I need this money for my summer holidays... Ch.

I am just amazed.Dear Paul, you might get even two extraordinary nice cars (second hand) for that price .If I would have 200k bucks free for investment, that HSU-group would be on my shopping list .At least I am happy, to have purchased the "crown juwels" of my small & humble Soviet collection in the early 1990s . Best regards Christian

Best regards ChristianIt is a great grouping and I would pick it up as well, if I had the extra dough!I too am glad to have gotten what I did in the early 90's. There is no way I would ever be able to afford most of these items today, and I am being paid MUCH better!paul

Naxos Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 Christian, very nice stuff. I have to stop visiting the CCCP section before I get permanently infected.Regards, Hardy
Guest Darrell Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 You have to wonder how long this set will last. Like Ed says, decent price considering what VC and RK groups of this type stature will realize. However, anyway you slice it $32k is a wad of change.
Ed_Haynes Posted July 15, 2007 Posted July 15, 2007 Suspect it will go home, Darrell, back to the Motherlland.Though I have to hope Igor still has it at OMSA, so I can "feel it up".
Bryan Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 If I would have 200k bucks free for investment, that HSU-group would be on my shopping list .I thought you never saw your collection as an investment, because you don't want to sell anything.
Ed_Haynes Posted July 23, 2007 Posted July 23, 2007 Well, it is still there. If it doesn't get you excited enough, try the documented Order of Lenin Type 1 "Tractor" #93, on another dealer's site. "Just" $68,500.
