ccj Posted July 22, 2007 Posted July 22, 2007 (edited) Here's a new addition. It's a nice quality tunic with matching trousers for a Feldwebel-Leutnant of the 116JR Edited July 23, 2007 by ccj
Chip Posted July 23, 2007 Posted July 23, 2007 Very nice Charles. An unusual rank to see. I like the odd combination of NCO and officer insignia. Is there a Namenetikett or maker's label?Chip
GdC26 Posted July 23, 2007 Posted July 23, 2007 Interesting tunic, Charles, thanks for sharing.Regards, Sandro
ccj Posted July 23, 2007 Author Posted July 23, 2007 I'll try taking better images. I am not good at taking digital photos of quality that are 110K or less.
Chip Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 Charles,Another question for you. Do both of the lions on the collar disks face the same direction? As I recall, the Hessians did not have a right and a left like the Bavarians.Chip

Chip Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 Thanks Charles. I feel much better now knowing that all of my Hessian disks are not missing their mates!Chip
dwmosher Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 Charles:Very interesting rank and insignia on a very scarce tunic! Congratulations!Dave

If I get better with the camera and image sizing I'll post more images of the tunic and trousers. I need a Hessen Infantry visor cap now... who has one to spare? Edited July 24, 2007 by ccj
Deruelle Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 Beautiful uniform Charles. A pleasure for my eyes This uniform has a name or not. With historical regiment unit you can easily find the name of all the Feldwebel-Leutnant. A great research for you my friend.RegardsChristophe

I need to look at it again because I can't remember the name.

Just select the pic you need to resize, and then select "File" and "Export to another file". A window will pop up that allows you to select the scale, and thus resize the picture. All my original pics are around 2.5 MB, rescaled to whatever size I need them in.Regards, Sandro

ccj Posted December 16, 2007 Author Posted December 16, 2007 An update to the Hessian Feldwebel-Lt of IR116. He is wearing an infantry visor cap for an Hessian officer and a Warrior Honor Decoration in Iron. I don't see anything in the in my search indicating a man could not receive this decoration before the EKI. Besides, I'm low on EKIs
ccj Posted December 24, 2014 Author Posted December 24, 2014 Uniform completely displayed tunic and matching trousers
Glenn J Posted December 25, 2014 Posted December 25, 2014 Charles, Lovely setup but the Feldwebelleutnant was not authorized to wear the commissioned officers' Feldbinde or Feldkoppel. The regulations stipulated a "simple" leather belt for the purpose of carrying a pistol etc. Regards Glenn
Paul R Posted December 25, 2014 Posted December 25, 2014 Is a Feldwebel Leutnant like a Chief Warrant Officer?
ccj Posted December 25, 2014 Author Posted December 25, 2014 (edited) I'm trying to find a nice Hessen belt and buckle.. Edited December 25, 2014 by ccj
Glenn J Posted December 25, 2014 Posted December 25, 2014 Charles, If it is for the Feldwebelleutnant, they did not wear the NCOs' and soldiers' variant. They generally wore a private purchase one or two pronged variety. Regards Glenn
Paul R Posted December 25, 2014 Posted December 25, 2014 What was a LT Feldwebel? Was he considered to be an officer or enlisted? Was this a way for NCOs to become officers?
Chris Boonzaier Posted December 25, 2014 Posted December 25, 2014 I can't find those. I usually just take a French one.... have seen enough photos with those being worn, and they are cheap.... or just a simple one like this.... http://kaiserscross.com/286801/286822.html
