He served with the Stab/Luftzeuggruppe Moskau and with the Feldluftzeuggruppe Finnland, so at least a KVK, maybe even something Finish? You don't happen to have a death date? Thanks!

To all: I found a "Josef Ernst Dewies" at ancestry.de. As a non-paying member, they will not let me see the data. If anyone is a paying member, please make a screenshot of the available information. At least we could find out, who he married in Berlin and when.

Dewies married Gertrud Maria Kutscheidt in Berlin-Wilmersdorf on 19th July 1923.

Schlesische Privilegierte Zeitung is  a good source, Matty!

8.12.1918, Ulrich Kaufmann should be a new first name:

20.2.1919, RM dR v. Rohr was KIA in 1918:

Yes that's right my friend. His pre-war regiment was IR 170 and he also had the BZ3bx. He later served in the Fliegertruppe.....

Maaß was in the Fliegertruppe? Which unit? As an observer or pilot? Thanks! Here is what I found out about his violent death: "Aus der langen Liste der kommunistischen Überfälle und Morde an Polizeibeamten seien nur zwei Fälle herausgegriffen. Der erste spielte sich bei den Kämpfen gegen die Rote Armee, im Regierungsbezirk Merseburg, bei Gröbers am 30. März 1921 ab."

Some grisly photos there! I can only provide the following webpages about Herr Maaß

Seeing the regiment and that he got the BZ3bx, as you wrote, he was probably born in Baden?

Here is some more info on some Müller, though I couldn't find his first name and cannot tell who this would be in our list:

Landesoberbaurat (in 1938) Müller (-Hannover), obviously born in 1888, Pionier Officer during the war

    Hannoverscher Kurier, 13.5.1938

Some more info on Ernst Dieterichs:

Lt.d.R. Hans Bertsch from FA 33 was born on 14.11.1894 in Metzingen and died on 9.11.1959. After WW1, he was a Diplom-Ingenieur and Fabrikdirektor and served as a Major der Reserve in the Luftwaffe. Photos below are from 1937 and 1917.

Great pictures, Dave. Is the second ribbon from left from Württemberg? Would he have received the KVK as Ic/Koluft AOK 9? Thanks!

Great photos, Dave!  Thanks for sharing.

It’s nice to see the early reserve tabs in wear.

    Württemberg Militärverdienstorden.

No idea about WW2 decorations. His Luftwaffe personnel file might have more, but who knows. Luftwaffe files are terribly organized and rarely have information on wartime awards.

Thank you, Dave! He served with the Feld-Artillerie-Regiment "Prinz-Regent Luitpold von Bayern" (2. Württembergisches) Nr. 29 (Einjährig-Freiwilliger?) before joining the Fliegertruppe. Maybe you can identify the third ribbon from left and second ribbon from right (maybe something Bavarian)? Here is what I have (ribbon bar), what else am I missing?

    Iron Cross, 2nd Class

Gold Military Merit Medal on 2 March 1917 (no longer entitled to display the medal after receiving the Military Merit Order?)

Military Merit Order (Württemberg), Knight's Cross on 2 August 1917

House Order of Hohenzollern, Knight's Cross with Swords (1918?)

Honour Cross of the World War 1914/1918 with Swords
