François SAEZ Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 What do you mean by ugly KarstenKarsten, how did you get a pic of .................. me? Some variations are scarcer than OM badges - from farThe "mint" condition is only a personal taste opinion others will prefer used, worn, attributed ........ badges
J Temple-West Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 Time to calm it all down, sit cross legged, and consider the true meaning of ?OM? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7ofPdEgsoQNamast?
Tim Calvert Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 Here's an OM & spange attributed to Oblt Heinz Oloff, Night Fighter NJG/1 with either 10 or 14 kills depending on where you get your info. His bronze spange is floating around out there. Anybody know where I can get my grubby hands on it?
Stan Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 Here's my "O.M" which I bought from a small shop in York 25 years ago. I was told that it had been brought in by a farmer who found it in his orchard in the nearby village of Osbaldwick after an Me110 had been shot down and the pilot captured.Stan
Stan Posted May 5, 2008 Posted May 5, 2008 I once asked Detlev Niemann what "O.M" stood for and he replied "Otto Meybauer".Stan

François SAEZ Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 No one agree, disagree have an opinion? I do disagree to point I am not convinced that they are proper to this type of badgeMine came with an early Deumer (thin, unmarked)All the "OM" badges I had (4 or 5) were not coming with this type of case But I can, of course, be wrong
Tim Calvert Posted May 12, 2008 Posted May 12, 2008 I've had 5 OM's and of the 5 two were cased. One was in the case shown by Rich with the blue border.
