    ======================

    I believe the above might need to be updated:

    - B's book shows 115 as a type 2; 420 would rather then be put as highest sighted

    - Recently 114 was on sale on eBay and this was a type 1

    On a different note - rumor has it recently a mongolian hero star (NOT a labour one!) was sold by one of the major western dealers! Anybody on this forum the lucky person?

    On several occasions Dr B had the serial number, of the items shown in his book, changed (Photoshop)

    This is the case also with n?115 wich is in reality presumably n? 315 or 415

    Also, if you look closely, some of the other imaged are "doctored" -- see, for example, p. 47.

    Several years back, a type 1 Hero was sold by Igor. Does anyone remember (1) when and (2) for how much? I think Liverpool Medals also had one (same one?) once upon an age?

    Help for failing memory, please. :beer:

    Some repaired enamel damage (which looks much worse scanned than it does in person), but, still, . . . :jumping:

    Believed to have been damaged in wear by the (known) recipient.

    I am constrained as to what else I can say, sorry. :blush:

    Congratulations Ed, very nice piece.

    On top of being the rarest of the rare, and then some, it is IMHO the most beautiful Mongolian order ever made, and that's saying something. :beer:

    You collection is getting actually better than what I've seen in all Mongolian museums combined. :P
