Guest Darrell Posted May 17, 2005 Posted May 17, 2005 Interesting bar with the War Merit Medal Jason :food-smiley-004: Don't see this very common medals in bars usually
Bob Hunter Posted May 22, 2005 Posted May 22, 2005 Nice bars gentlemen. Think I have one or two TR bars the rest are Imperial.
Marcus H Posted June 1, 2005 Posted June 1, 2005 Nothing compared to the ones shown but heres a couple of mine:
Marcus H Posted June 1, 2005 Posted June 1, 2005 Nothing special again, the only fact being this is a frmae marked L/12 EK 2
Marcus H Posted June 1, 2005 Posted June 1, 2005 And my favourite, I visited the exact place where this bar was assembled 70 odd years ago in Berlin. The 14-18 Honour Cross is a BRONZE example, seldom encounted, I wasn't even aware of this when I purchased the bar......it's of course non magnetic....and was pointed out by obsevation by Rick L, I'd still be unaware of it if he hadn't have spotted it (How he knew, god knows ???)
Marcus H Posted June 1, 2005 Posted June 1, 2005 And the last for now, on the note of Honour Crosses these two........
J Temple-West Posted June 1, 2005 Posted June 1, 2005 Marcus,That is a superb 40 year service bar....Put me at the top of your list, should you ever decide to pass it on..So, to complement your 'Honour cross' selection..
J Temple-West Posted June 1, 2005 Posted June 1, 2005 Then on to a few others.A couple of 'Westwall' bars.
J Temple-West Posted June 1, 2005 Posted June 1, 2005 This one also has the Rumanian "Crusade Against Communism" service medal. Maker marked 'P. Grant'
J Temple-West Posted June 1, 2005 Posted June 1, 2005 EK2, KvK (without swords), Honour Cross, 1st class 'Faithful Service' Cross in Gold for 40 years.
J Temple-West Posted June 1, 2005 Posted June 1, 2005 EK2, Honour Cross, 2nd class 'Faithful Service' Cross in Silver for 25 years.
Bob Hunter Posted June 8, 2005 Posted June 8, 2005 (edited) Most of my bars are imperial but I did find this small TR group that I thought represented an unusual combination of awards. Edited June 8, 2005 by Bob Hunter
Chris Boonzaier Posted June 19, 2005 Posted June 19, 2005 I think you will be hard pressed to find a guy with more post 36 medals this this guy...
