Dave B
Hi all,I picked this up yesterday and it was extremely cheap Cross is a WILM marked piece with a good length of non-combatant ribbon in a custom made case.Case has a glass lid for displaying the cross and has two attached brass rings on the back I presume for hanging the case on a wall?? Anyone seen hanging attachments like this before?CheersDave[attachmentid=26213][attachmentid=26214]

Glenn R
That's an absolute peach Dave!! Nice case. That glass front is fabulous. I've not seen those attachments before.
Dave B
Thanks Glenn! I think the hanging attachments are homemade, maybe by the guy that won the cross so he could display it at home??Dave
joe campbell
dave-i've seen that case, but not the hangers, soeither a retail jeweller add-in, or home add-on,but that is a VERY nice arrangement in whatlooks to be very good condition, and a non-com ribbon to boot.you've done well!joe

Stogieman
Yep, as nice a cased EK2 as I've seen in forever. I'd agree, the hangers an afterthought, but does not detract from the case at all. IMO.

Stogieman
The Twins discussed this today and I have a boomerang to toss..... but it's a GOOD one. We think your case actually dates to the 1870 era based on construction and the catch...... not such a bad thing, eh?
