Luftmensch Posted April 16, 2022 Posted April 16, 2022 Thank you, Alex. Thank you, Erik. There is a label sewn in crooked by the collar that says "Eisenhöfer". I don't know what this is. Alex, do you want me to scan all the entries in the MP from 1899, or just the Luftschiffer entries?
jaba1914 Posted April 16, 2022 Author Posted April 16, 2022 (edited) As expected the MP is from a different person. Only the Luftschiffer entries and the page with the demographic data, John. KR Alex Edited April 16, 2022 by jaba1914
jaba1914 Posted April 16, 2022 Author Posted April 16, 2022 Thank you, John. Unfortunately no entries about Bordkommandos. It seems he was part of the ground crew. But I like the MP. Both are great pieces. Congratulation. KR Alex
Luftmensch Posted April 16, 2022 Posted April 16, 2022 Thanks, Vince! I know someone who bought an oval patch from a family years ago. He asked what else they had and they said the patch was attached to a tunic that was falling apart so they cut it off! We all would have taken the tunic anyway. This tunic has a couple ...I was going to say moth bites...but they look more like snake bites! Maybe because this fellow was in at the end his tunic survived. There are some very clean Paradejacke around but this was his working coat.
RedNoseScout Posted May 17, 2022 Posted May 17, 2022 Ur godet observer is stunningly beautiful. The carved out eagle eyes. ? Is that a Meybauer mark on the stickpin? For comparison r these two godet pilot samples. Note the silver on some worn spots.

RedNoseScout Posted May 26, 2022 Posted May 26, 2022 (edited) Lew that’s a killer photo of a naval formal parade jacket and Godet Observer. I think Pandis shows only 4 Naval Godet pilot badges in his book but I’m gonna re-check. Great stuff. Naval stick pins r getting harder to find! Thank u for sharing. Attaching a few naval pilot stickpins for ur pleasure. Erik Edited May 26, 2022 by RedNoseScout

The interest on navy aviation increased in the last years but not many pieces are displayed. Once I had a simillar badge but this is many years ago ? Kind regards Alex Got a twin here. From the same maker.
sm_u_117 Posted February 25, 2023 Posted February 25, 2023 I don't know if this counts, but I have an old Seesack - the most remarkable feature being that it's named and belonging to the I. Seeflieger Abteilung 1
jaba1914 Posted February 25, 2023 Author Posted February 25, 2023 Interesting piece and the person is also marked. Not with his name but with the Stammnummer that is unique. Unfortunately this would be hard to identify. KR Alex

Soderbaum Posted February 27, 2023 Posted February 27, 2023 Hi Fz.Mtr Walter Gladenbeck hold the number 584-17, but he was an landflyer who started education to observer in mid 1917. Maybe he served as ground crew in I SFA before that..? Gunnar

Thanks for the info!
