Chris Boonzaier
Think this guy knew where it was going?? http://www.ebay.de/itm/Raritat-Urkunde-Ritterkreuz-1-Klasse-Stern-von-Brabant-OU-Ernst-Ludwig-/170980360113?pt=Antiquarische_B%C3%BCcher&hash=item27cf393fb1
redeagleorder
I've never seen a single award certificate even approach that price!
Chris Boonzaier
seeing his feedback, I would only have bought it if could fetch it myself!!
VtwinVince
I was watching that one with some amazement. I know it's rare, and the Hessen collectors are crazy, but this is a ridiculous price.
Chris Boonzaier
I am guessing it was a clientel who are not the average medal collector.... maybe a medical institution or something?

Motorhead
The seller is registered at the SDA forum and said he just wanted "to get an idea" how much it is worth! One of the bidders is a friend of him-I don't like that and i'n glad that he's not active in the EK section.Otherwise I would thing about putting him on ignore... christerd
Very very strange .... but the seller needs to pay a big selling fee to Ebay I suppose ? Christer
VtwinVince
Somebody should give the Pied Piper of Hameln a call, because I smell a huge ebay-rat.
Deruelle
Impressive, probably a fool. With such price the other seller will have a lot of ideas to grow up the price ! Christophe
Motorhead
I don't like this-my consequence would be to ignore this ass**le for the rest of his life! Micha
saschaw
One of the bidders is a friend of him-I don't like that and i'n glad that he's not active in the EK section.Otherwise I would thing about putting him on ignore... I'm no more believing him one word and assume it wasn't just one friend of him... Imperial documents don't fetch these prices. Never. In 2012, the document for the one and only Prussian Military Merit cross awarded for China was sold on ebay - for less than half of this money. And this MVK document is of so much higher interest to the collecting world. This Hassian ebay auction was a farce.
paul wood
I do know a collector who has a pretty impressive array of the Star of Brabant (including 1st Class). I also know he is not short of a pfennig or two, maybe he decided he wished to marry his 1st class with the award document (and maybe someone else knew he did). Chris Boonzaier
" Achtung Wieder eingestellt wegen Spaß Bieter." haha actually, you could bid 20 000, refuse to pay, and ebay will just send you a warning....
redeagleorder
Sure I would trust a guy with 0 feedback for a document which has just previously sold for 11600 euro. What sane reason is there not to?!
Chris Boonzaier
May be a good idea to ask him what the rest of the stuff is and how much he wants for that?
