The following miniature bar consists of: The Royal and Military Order of Saint Ferndinand: Simple Gold Cross 1st Class: distinguished services of chiefs and officers, according to the regulation of July 10, 1815 The Royal Amercian Order of Isabella the Catholic The Royal and Distinguished Spanish Order of Charles III These miniatures are from the period 1820-1830, are enameled and have hand-painted centers. First a military merit cross from the miniature chain of the Swedish chamberlain Gregor Aminoff (1872-1934). Next is a Order of Charles III from the miniature bar of the Swedish chamberlain Georg Aminoff (1895-1977). Georg Aminoff was the son of Gregor Aminoff. Sorry for the bad pictures. GM1 Posted January 12, 2022 Author Share Posted January 12, 2022 Another miniature set: Order of Naval Merit with Red Distinction, First Class Cross (1902-1931 Reign of Alfonso XIII) Order of Military Merit, Silver Cross for troops with White Distinction, (1902-1931 Reign of Alfonso XIII): comes from a set that included the orders in "normal" size that did carry this cross. Hugh Posted January 12, 2022 Share Posted January 12, 2022 I recently bought a new miniature of Isabel la Catolica, officer's grade for a friend who was invested in the Order last October. It came from Cejalvo who were very cooperative. Unlike some miniatures, it has a button for the buttonhole in your lapel as opposed to a pin. My dinner jacket doesn't have a buttonhole! I also notice that it does not have a pasador (the gold top bar) as full size Spanish medals do (and as GM1's examples do). Maybe that's the new style. Any comments on that? GM1 Posted January 12, 2022 Author Share Posted January 12, 2022 A nice contemporary exemplar @Hugh! I think that nowadays the button type is issued when it is an individual miniature.
