well not posted it here but thought it show this little bar i picked up at a military show a few months ago for the outrageous price of free!!!! from what i understand there for 1) Organization of National Ex-Servicemen Medal - 1981 2) Organization of National Ex-Servicemen - Limerick Treaty 300th Anniversary Medal - 1991 thought you guys might like to see her as she aint the normal bars you see from ireland!!! :beer:

the 1939/43 medal was that only a ribbon till the medal for the 45 one was made?

iv a nice ss group to a kid who joined the ss in sep of 44 and it has pics and his award docs as well as his soldbuch!the seller(who is a friend) was getting very very disheartened that he had tried to sel(as he did need the money)l the group but people only wanted bits of it! im not really into SS stuff but i did like the set so i spent 6 months paying for it and im really really really chuffed i have this group and the fact the seller(may mate) let me pay in stages otherwise i wouldn't have been able to afford it!! just thought you might like to hear a story of a group that stayed to together!!!!! oh and iv no intention of selling it for a long time either!! so good story DO happen! :beer:

buy this if you like soviet award and decorations and dont have this!!! im SO glad i walked into dublin to an auction on a VEEEEEERRRRRRRRYYYYYYYYY badly twisted ankle to get my copy of the bible!! the amount of offers iv had for it!!!!! and noor nope still not selling or trading it or echoes of war!!! :beer:

GREAT group! as a side note check out the 1st pic of the destroyed tank(the 1st tank shot you see with only half of it) its bergpanther a recovery tank and pretty rare to!!! makes the group even better!!!!!!!! :beer:

bit off topic but interesting from my family's point of view,my great grand dad was a regular at the start off ww1 and at the end of 1914 had is left leg blown of by a mortar shell(he said this was the best thing that ever happened to him!) but until the British army issued those wounded pins he kept having women handing him white feathers!!! one incident though was amusing, while in Blackpool a women handed my great grand dad a white feather but this time his wife was with him and from what i heard about her you did NOT mess with her and ended up chasing the other women down the street while hitting her with her hand bag!! :beer:

got my lenin for E600 all in so im quiet pleased with that! but its mad how the prices have gone mad for really what isnt to rare a award!!

you and me both!!!! i got mine JUST before the prices went mental and i really really like me lenin to!!(that probably cos its shiny and i like shiny things!!! :cool:

i know i know but i got a good deal out of it and so did noor so we are both happy campers!plus i know its gone to a good home so all good! now i know he will be after my lenin in a few months time! :beer:

bloody hell i had this order for nearly 7 years and within 1 week noor has got the service card(kindly care of another member!!) life is indeed cruel!!!! :blush:

well il put it like this! the bog standard ones sell for over E100 in Ireland! i had to get mine in the states!!!

your right the naming is a bit of a mess alright! some letters over lapping and some not struck hard enough! well got it for a tenner and i quiet like it any way!! quiet a nice award and very cool reverse!! :beer:
