    1. I would love for a member to add a Rohr Tunic... this one may be OK... but it is not a one looker for me...
    2. I am really curious, have no idea of the origin, but what worries me would be sewn in boards. I am not really a Uniform guy, but I learned sewn ON not IN... especially for a unit that wozuld have probably removed them a few times a month. Depending on the date, maybe the XVIII AK may be a clue.... When were Rohr elements under their command? Why would they be supplying Rohr men?
    3. The old Norweigins look like US Civil war, the Swedes look like Germans!
    4. Most of these I would have thought were american civil war!!!
    5. OK, I know there has to be looots of cool jackets, but the so called "Reichs defence jacket " Reichsverteidigung jacke... Now that is one that is cool by todays standards... its cool in that you could wear it into a bar, and chicks would say "hey, thats cool!" I know, I know... some of our rural members live in Areas where the chicks would say that to a CLEAN set of Luftwaffe working overalls... :-) Just Kidding!!!! Late war, but they were of fantastic quality, i think introduced in 1944? This was a KC Winners jacket...
    6. To widen this a bit..... There are soooo many bogus boxes on ebay, "multi awrd boxes" watch boxes with EK inserts added, cutlery boxes etc... I thought some good old single EK boxes may be fun to add
    7. Hi, I think during the war shirts worn were often a case of what you could find, and what you could get away with. Best Chris
    8. This was a system I am surprised was not adopted... the splints are not cut in two, rather soldered on as a loop... the advantage is, you can sew one side of the ribbon on, and just slide this on... then pin other side, then easily remove...
    9. I always feel sorry for the poor Prussian soldiers.... Unlike Bavarians, Hessens, Saxons... there was usually only one medal they could get... The EK.... Luckily there was post war expansion opportunity...
    10. Hi, thats fantastic! Can one assume he died before the Ehrenkreuz came out? One of the few reasons I can think of for the mounting to stop there...
    11. I agree, I always thought the Hindy was the destroyer... but the "big Blue" takes the cake.... in the middle, or on the end.... it messes the bar up... I wonder why they gave this an EK shape? Is work as a Beamte such a sacrifice????
