    1. That's a beautiful bar Chet.... don't know how you do it! I never see anything decent when I'm out and about anymore.
    2. That's a great photograph. What is the badge above the medal? Can you blow that up a bit? Thanks!
    3. Very interesting "old style" bar. Must have done his one year 1897 and then back for WW1. With the second ribbon, either option, I'll bet he had a schnalle long service. I'm thinking "other ranks". Both the General Decoration and RAO4 would have had a "time served" requirement I believe?
    4. Interesting packet... maker marked on the back? Color looks odd but this is most likely strictly due to the scan... oh Marcus!
    5. Door opener, supply masters, chief bottle washer (apologies to Adam ;>)). Flunkies, et. al.
    6. Hi Doc, PM Rick Research... through the efforts of Ed Haynes & Rick, and Dave & etc., etc., etc. they have a running tally going of all documented pieces, serial numbers and award dates. Makes pretty good reference materials.....
    7. An attractive jacket, no idea if it's correct. The insignia doesn't look quite right, like it was applied after the fact. But the color would be consistent with the Soviet model of light blue for airforce personnel. Cannot imagine how they decided on the price.
    8. Hi Doc, the Red Star cannot fit to Afghanistan, its' serial number is solidly a 1950's award and simply cannot be a 1980 piece.
    9. As an aside Ladies & Gentlemen! When posting a link to an auction it's always best to copy the auction photos to your hard drive (right click, save as in "my pictures"). When the auction is over, eventually these links/photos might vanish. By reposting the photos here, we'll have a record of what we were actually discussing. Also, it will help certain (evil) individuals who don't like to click on links! ;>)
    10. Hi Jan... thanks! What does the book say it's for? One of the nakromat type badges or something else?? Thanks!
    11. So then, any of the numbered award certificates for campaign, defense & capture should match up in the personnel file??
    12. Interesting.... is there any solid theory as to why these were blank?? Secret political school?? Inside joke??
    13. Greetings Matthias. That is one old and wonderful cross. Bought as a loose piece? Or maybe come with a nice campaign medal?!
    14. Yes, but... the serial number of the Red Star falls into the 1950's range....
    15. It looks kind of like a Soviet Thomas The Tank Engine Badge! ;>)
    16. Never seen anything like this one!? Fantasy piece, or something real? Very pretty!
    17. I'm having a hard time making out page two of the orders book. Can we please get a bigger scan? Thanks!
    18. Hi Chuck, what is the date of privilidges in the book? Can't make it out on the scan??
    19. I agree with Heiko, I don't think I have ever seen these two other ribbons available anywhere....... ever!
