    1. Thanks John, very informative. Interesting that the "E" and the "S" are so different from other Juncker marks.
    2. Just a quick note.... Ralph's crosses are marked, not the outer boxes.
    3. Hi Joe, very nice cross and marked like this, rather hard to find. I've seen less than a dozen like this before!
    4. Hi Karl, a curious stamp and one I'm not familiar with. I currently have my eye on a similar marked piece in the UK but the seller's crappy pictures keep me from being able to say they are the same marks as yours. I've seen the 3, but the eagle is one I have no memory of seeing before!!
    5. A popular maker and not shy about ID'ing his work....... we see him almost as much as Godet tagged pieces.
    6. WildCard has let me know that he's back from the auction. Strongly attended and wonderful things, many with wonderful prices. I'm sure he'll update us all when he's caught up on sleep/jet lag/etc.
    7. Thanks all for the help. I had just assumed it to be Turkish. This is a story I would love to hear how he managed to receive this.
    8. Hi Rusty, well that's pretty interesting and yes, that was the guy I was wondering about. He seems to have 99% of the the stuff on eBay. Some pretty outrageous pieces too. Anybody dealt with him?
    9. Hi Heiko, yes there is still some things. Including bits & pieces that should have gone with lots already auctioned off.
    10. I've only been fortunate enough to have had one of these historic little gems. This one is much later though, probably ca. 1825-40 when they were finally filling the "grandfathered" crosses. Now living somewhere in Tejas.
    11. Hi Ralph! LOVE the Lapel Bows.... interesting variations/styles there!
    12. OK, then we have to ask................. how, oh how, oh how does an AUSTRIAN end up with one of these? Und Dats vye vee haf der trifolded ribbon!
    13. I think a few years back one of the major US dealers auctioned of one of G?ring's PPK's that was "liberated" by a Jewish-American GI. Can't say I blame him.... I would have been far more than tempted to do a little "liberating" myself if I was in his shoes. And please, let's not get into a big squabble over the rights/wrongs over souvenirs....... It's not the time or place for a philisophical discussion. However, feel free to start a civil discourse in the lounge on this subject if anyone's interested.
    14. One of the many things I thought was neat was the FG war-time backing plate with the DRP patent mark. You do not see that very often and I have often wondered why!
    15. and there in lies one of the many head-bangers of Imperial. No docs, no published roles and who knows if they'll ever surface. Still a darn spiffy bar!!
    16. OK, so here's the thing.... it's pretty hard to find Mongolian stuff other than a few select dealers. There's one guy flogging apparently every piece ever made in that country on eBay.... (part of the mint dump, I hear).... so is the Mongolian stuff as heavily reproduced as the Soviet?? Thanks!
    17. ..... and, just to show you that he can be creative, here's a doctored tab-back bar. Now, raise your right hand if you think that bright, clean '39EK2 ribbon really has been on there as long as all the others! ;>)
    18. Always a disappointment when that special "object" proves to be something other than what we thought.... Again, the old adage.. "Know what you're buying" comes to play.
    19. Hi Ron, first time I've seen an edge marked L/11. pretty spiffy!
    20. Nice bar and yet again clear evidence of different stocks given the fade. What is most interesting is this fellow had 25 Years Polizei long service by 1942 and no other awards!!
    21. I think with only these 3 awards, it would be stretch to pin him down since most WW1 awards are invisible until the 1920's. If he survived that far, maybe but he would probably have additional awards. A shame to have missed the loose pieces... I would have been curious to see if they were "bargains"!
