The middle bar is the earliest bar of the grouping. After 1934 the Hindy replaced all the other veteran organization awards so the EK2/Hindy bar would be the second.

Swords on ribbons when the award is present is not unheard of.

It looks believable to me. The wear on the ribbons is consistant as is the mounting style, furls, and devices. It doesn't look to have been monkied with.

Perhaps its a conversion from a pilot's badge. Can we match the wreath to a known maker?

The cross looks ok to me. I can't speak for the case. -
He also served in the Weimar Reichswehr Brigade 13 at Artillery Kaserne, Stuttgart-Canstadt. The last German tank, a British MK IV, was hidden there immediately after the war. I was stationed in Stuttgart in the late 70s. I believe Artillery Kaserne became Flak Kaserne in the 30's.

The tank detachments were sent for assualt training with SB5 from Jan 1918 on. ATD 1 was the first. ATD 2 in late Feb. Rohr helped develop tactics, techniques and procedure for a combined arms assualt. This guy had 5 tank assualts. What is his name?

There were vaulted ones in 1939 as well based upon the old frames. But when Hitler decided the cross need to be larger he also mandated that it be flat.

It will go for what someone is willing to pay and not a penny more. Lucky for you I am not interested. He can either take your offer, try selling it himself for what he thinks it is worth, or throw it on one of the major auction houses and see what happens. With a minium of 15k on the table I doubt he will get the shaft.......
