    1. Thats indeed a very tasteless thing You better don?t take it with you in the bar around the corner, Paul
    2. Awesome group!!! And well documented too Absolutely fantastic, Jacques. I wonder, why Soldiers, who died, did not get a higher class than the Bronze Award? Or did it depend on the circumstances (i.e. death in battle, death by accident like this one... and so forth...)?
    3. Your screwback ORB, the Red Star, the ORB 2nd award and the Kutuzov were awarded for bravery. Only the Lenin (25 years) and the last two Red Banner(20 and 30 years) are Long-Service awards. I don?t know, why the researcher think, the Kutuzov won?t be interesting. But he has a lot of experience, so i am inclined to trust his judgement. Maybe someone else can clear up this point. Thats a really nice screwback ORB with great research Congrats
    4. Oh yes, his Lenin. Then it looks like this: Order of Lenin Nr. 100.341 awarded 20.06.49 Order of the Red Banner Nr. 36411 awarded 20.08.42 (? please check) Order of the Red Star Nr. 78102 awarded 12.12.42 Order of the Red Banner 2nd award Nr. 3621 awarded 20.03.43 Order of Kutuzov 2rd class Nr. 928 awarded 30.07.44 Order of the Red Banner Nr. 115375 awarded 30.01.44 (? please check) Order of the Red Banner Nr. 409990 awarded 30.04.54 Medal Victory over Germany Medal for 30 years soviet army and navy
    5. These friendship badges are very pretty and that goes for almost all of them. I am really tempted to start to collect them or at least get a few nice ones. Thanks for your efforts, Ed Gerd
    6. Rick, but there don?t have to be hooks, right? Are there ribbonbars of this size without hooks? Gerd
    7. Doc, this is indeed only a ribbonbar. They were worn in this size as well. I?ll try to find a picture.... Gerd
    8. Thats a nice one, Sal.The combination of Hessian and W?rttemberg Bravery Medal is quite unusual
    9. Jim, don?t you can read? An Expert issued this document. okay, he is nameless, but he is an EXPERT, man!!!
    10. Beautiful mini-chain, Claudio. Its one of the nicest, i have ever seen. Congrats, that you really got it in the end
    11. Fantastic design! These are indeed beautiful Thanks for the pictures, Christophe
    12. Very nice, OoV. He had quite an array of awards. Order of the Red Banner Nr. 36411 Order of the Red Star Nr. 78102 Order of the Red Banner 2nd award Nr. 3621 Order of Kutuzov 2rd class Nr. 928 Order of the Red Banner Nr. 115375 Order of the Red Banner Nr. 409990 Medal Victory over Germany Great research. I look forward to read the citation.
    13. So, that was it, what you were hiding from me. Its a beauty, Antti Wonderful piece Gerd
    14. Nice one, Micha Actually i like the Oldenburg Cross more than the Prussian Iron Cross. Gerd
    15. Ed, i have none of these, sorry, but i think, it could be even five or six people, who read this forum
    16. Indeed, an Officer would have probably gotten an OPW 2nd class,or maybe even a 1st class.
    17. Eric, thats nothing unusual. On many OPW?s the H&S is bent, as its 14k-Gold, which bends quite easily. Gerd
