I had no idea! As you know these are a huge collecting field these days and the new Walking Dead ones are selling for $350 each! There's an article in the WSJ about how comics are being used as a hedge fund alternative. The good ones seem to appreciate at about 7% a year. SAdly my Victor and Beano comics aren't that collectible, nor is Asterix.

Would it be possible to purchase a copy of your list? I have been going through the MWB and found approx. the same ratio.

Cool. it makes sense that this would be some sort of dR or war volunteer /specialist in Togoland but not a regular, so no LS. I had originally assumed navy as those NCOs/ deck officers got AEZs ( so did regular army )NCOs for merit whereas Schutztrppn seem to have received the prussian military medal. I figured some sort of Schnalle. 1894/5 was a horrific genocidal campaign and as near as I can tell, no navy units really qualified for the bar for service in country.. On the colonial website Captain Albert states that the bar was a Weimar era purchase, which makes sense.

The tughras at the top are interesting. Demir can translate it and I reckon it's a horse brass/ award. the tughras as will tell the era. I'll ask Demir.

That English one looks outstanding! There weren't many NCOs with foreign awards in 1945. That 2nd one says: Fearsome kick- ass E8 @. 1955-8.

I assumed an RVO given to LSGC. I also assumed 1914-18 wear given the construction. so, were these 2 officers candidates?

Theodor is the man when it comes to Bulgarian medals. I do not think these have been faked. About200,000 were given to Germans and one still sees them in packets.

well, that narrows it down to officer (almost certainly) and a member of only a few units:RA or navy Brigade some sort of staff unusual wallah. None of the Indian regiments , except a small pioneer detachment, were in all 3 campaigns.

Outstanding research! I believe he is listed in the New Hampshire WW1 book and probably the Portsmouth newspapers. He was owed a New Hampshire state WW1 medal.

Short answer, yes. There was an OMRS article a few years ago about what units qualified for the Afghan bar and also the IRAQ bar. However, there were a significant number of officers on special assignment, transfer etc. who qualified for this combo. Many of the Indian units in the Afghan did not qualify for the Victory medal.

Well, loos good to me. seems to have that desiccated appearance to the ribbons that looks good. Id bet serious cash that guy was a youngish Stabarzt in Kiel etc. who got demobbed in 1920. no LS for him!
