Romania Unknown Romanian Medal
graham replied to pmargulies's topic in Central & Eastern European States
Nickstrenk, I think the last badge is a 'Romanian Army Horse Championship Badge'. I can only assume that the city and date on the badges must be the venue for the event that year. Below are two similar badges: - Regards, Graham -

graham replied to Wessel Gordon's topic in Germany: All Eras: The Iron Cross
Wessel, There is quite a bit of information out there but here are a couple of websites that may go some way in helping. Just work your way through the sites to gain as much info as you like. http://ek1-dna.de/ https://ironcross-history.nl/ Regards, Graham -
Kvart, Thanks. I am fairly sure that if you were eligible for the Lapland Cross you were also eligible for the Winter War medaI. The criteria to be awarded for the Lapland Cross was that you had to have fought in Lapland during the Winter War. The criteria to be awarded the Winter War medal was that had to be in some way involved in the Finnish war effort. I do know that the Lapland Cross was awarded to foreigners, so maybe you could just receive the one only if you were a foreigner. Regards, Graham
