    1. Hi, Very nice, I have always liked these court official type bars. They quite often have the rarely seen mounted verdienst awards from the many German states. Kind regards, Sam K.
    2. Hi, Great photos, thanks for posting. I would love to visit myself someday. So many historical personalities in one place, what a sense of history must be there. I've always been amazed that the Soviets did not desecrate the graves/bodies after taking Berlin. It was something they often did, though not always for ideological reasons, but at times in the search for valuables that might be buried with the individuals. A few instances; Gebhard Leberecht von Blücher (ironically, he was a Russian ally), Carin Goring, even Mary Vetsera ( Crown Prince Rudolph’s mistress in suicide). The latter two were probably in a search for valuables. Kind regards, Sam K.
    3. Hi, My favorite Fireman Medal. I like these types of bars; civil servant, court lackie, etc. Not as glamourous as a soldier's, but still very interesting. Thanks for posting. Regards, Sam
    4. Hi, I can't think of anything that screws up a nice bar like a Deutscher Reichskriegerbund Kyffhauser medal does. I can't understand why anyone back then would tarnish their bars with it. LOL Regards, Sam K.
    5. Hi, I agree with Mr. Boonzaier, I've always been impressed with the workmanship that went into these awards. Also, Odulf, thanks for posting the photo. It is the first I have ever seen of this badge in wear. Kind regards, Sam K.
    6. Hi Mervyn, I'm no expert on gun laws in the States, as each state has different laws governing the sale, ownership, etc. However, federal law prohibits a fully automatic weapon being owned by an individual not licensed to own/operate one. So I suppose she would have no problem selling to such a person, as many gun dealers have such licenses. Regards, Sam K.
    7. Hi, Not my field of collecting, but thought you gentlemen might find this interesting. Kind regards, Sam Kircus http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/12/10/world-war-ii-era-german-assault-rifle-_n_2270815.html P.S. I actually thought these weapons went for much more than the value listed in the story.
    8. Hi, I received my copy recently. A great work on a subject not well covered here in the West. Kind regards, Sam P.S. Shipping from Turkey was much quicker than expected.
    9. Hi, I remember some time back ( Rick was still on the forum) a discussion on the Bavarian MVO lower cross arm. Some MVO's have a "thicker" metal edge around just the lower arm, while some do not. I remember something about the differences being in wether or not one type was issued verses private purchase. I tried searching, but can't locate this thread. If someone remembers, could you please refresh my memory? Kind regards, Sam K.
    10. Hi, I like this bar as well. I think Court Lackey bar's are often quite unique. Regards, sam
    11. It is certainly a nice EK1. Maybe some hardcore collector wanted it to fill a hole in his collection. Regards, Sam K.
    12. B) The bright color/brand new look of the ribbons alone on a bar of this era make me cringe. ALWAYS a red flag for myself as well. Regards, Sam K.
    13. Hi, Very nice! This is one of my favorite Imperial decorations. Regards, Sam K.
    14. Hi, Excellent research. Outstanding bar as well. I especially like the intricate mounting of the ribbons, notice how they internally "loop" back over the decorations mounting rings, helping secure a snug fit.. A first class job to be sure. Regards, Sam
    15. Hi, What a great find and it is in such great condition, all things considered. I think a personal item like this would be a more exciting find than all the usual things you see found such as spent ammo, helmets, and other such equipment. Kind regards, sam
    16. Hi, Great bar. I really like these type civilian and court functionary bars. They so often have such unique awards and they just don't seem to show up often. Kind regards, Sam
    17. Hi, This bar is from the latest Zeige auction. Would it be correct to assume it is likely a court lackey bar with the two Sax Coburg awards, the Sax-Ernestine order medal, Anniversary Medal, and the odd man out Bulgarian medal? Regards, Sam This one was nice too, but an obvious combattant bar.
