    1. This is truely exciting!!! What else can you tell me about your grandfather's time in service? What rank did he attain? Notice the officer in the center in the front row of the top photograph? He is a Musikmeister. These men wore special insignia(although cannot be seen too well in the photograph. Attached, I have posted a photograph of a Musikmeister shoulderboard from the 4th Flak Reg band. There were not too many of these men. I have done a thread on the Luftwaffe Muskikorps, if you wish to take a look. http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=17408 I look forward to hearing more about your grandfather. In the photos, which one is your grandfather? Regards Paul
    2. Nor do I... Mine are in CA. I think that the uniforms are in Vol I though. Paul
    3. Look at the medals closely... the red paint is so cheap that it is already chipping off of these UNAWARDED medals... How pathetic.
    4. Here is a single Iraqi Air Force Major's Board. Pre1991. Well used and smells strongly of tobacco.
    5. Based upon his ribbons, he may be trackable! No WW2 affilation either. Chances are that he may still be alive? I can hardly wait to see your other pieces! Seb... WOW! Why does that 1958 tunic have a green branch color?
    6. That is one beautiful uniform. I do not remember seeing any Medical uniforms here before. Is the massive ribbon bar original to the tunic?
    7. Thanks John! The quality of those two pieces is outstanding!
    8. Why are the buckles so rare? I would figure that more of these would have survived than tunics.
    9. Hey Bob, This particular tunic came from Bill Shea, although I would not be surprised if this one did not pass through George's hands at some point.
    10. That is some great stuff!! What does the green star represent?
    11. To be perfectly honest, I have never seen a set closeup. If anyone else has, please lets hear from you.
    12. Dear Lord, that was FAST!!! I love it!!! Thank you so much! :jumping:
    13. Thank you for the link. I am sorry to hear that you have been deceived. Is there any way you can get your money back from the seller?
    14. I would like to buy a high detail fake, like this one(being sold as such). What are they being sold for?
    15. Alex, You hit the nail on the head, with the US General's photo. Your talent is amazing! Here is the photo I was telling you about. Can you make this one come to life? Paul
    16. Thank you for sharing this beautiful cap with us. They are very uncommon. :jumping:
    17. I have never seen anything like it... it looks like a localized municiple level award.
    18. You are getting very good at this!! Do you accept requests? :catjava:
    19. Thank you all for the kind replies. I love the Obscure side of the Luftwaffe. Fortunately, the more non streamline stuff is not popular and does not cost much! Dave, I am transferring to CA... a bit too warm, if you ask me. I am not a West Coast person, but I am excited about the cutter I am being assigned to.
    20. Hi Kevin, The color is too dark for Jager. It is a dead on ringer for TR AdminMuch darker than Jaeger and Panzer Grenadier)... but the Admin officers during the WW2 time period had two colored layers... the dark green on the bottom and the specialty color in the middle(top layer is the silver russian braid).
